Remington Session Stylist, Chris Appleton, knows how to create perfect curls. First apply a heat protection spray to damp hair and rough blow-dry with the Remington Stylist Turbo Dryer. Then starting with the bottom layers, take approximately one inch sections of hair, secure the ends in the spring clip and rotate the styler whilst guiding the hair onto the barrel using the spiral guide, working your way to the cool tip. Hold for 15 seconds and release. Continue curling all hair in different directions, but curl the front away from the face. Once finished, gently brush the curls out for that sexy starlet style. Chris’s tip: Choose a side parting over a centre parting for a sultry and sophisticated look.
Also available in the Remington Stylist Collection: The Remington Stylist Multi Style and Remington Stylist Turbo 2200 Dryer. With the Remington Stylist Collection, you can curl, wave, straighten and volumise--because one look is never enough.

There are two slight negatives to this product that I have found. Firstly, whilst a heat proof bag is provided, I feel a mat would have been ideal to enable the styler to cool down after use. Also, the light on the barrel is just an indicator that it is switched on and not an indicator of reaching the desired temperature. However, I have always found my long fine hair quite difficult to style and the curls usually fall out very quickly but with this Remington device, I am able to create soft curls in around 10 minutes that last all day.
The truth however is that I found it far too fiddly to use. I struggled to get hair clipped into it, struggled to turn it the right direction and all round got into a bit of a tangle. the curls it created where strong and quick...however I thought they looked rather messy. I note a previous reviewer mentioned their hair is layered and wonder if this is an issue, as mine is too. I ended yp with curls with shorter layers sticking out or missing the ends being curled.
I also wasn't that impressed with the look of this curler. In my opinion it looks and feels quite cheap and certainly doesn't appear to be robust. After a few frustrating attempts, I have to conclude that this isn't for me or the solution I was hoping for in achieving beautiful and easy curls.
I enjoyed using this. I have shoulder-length hair and do like to have a few curls every now and then but the curler I have Remington CB4N Flexibrush Steam Hot Air Styler only ties my hair in knots on the teeth of the barrel, so I was very pleased to see that this version doesn't do that. (The Flexibrush is good for curling-under hair but not for ringlets)
I also found the video they'd provided useful to get a sense of how it works.
There is an on-and-off switch that lights-up when it's on which is useful as you can turn it off if it gets a bit too hot while you're styling your hair.
Two things to note.
1) you need to have at least shoulder-length hair for this to work, as the barrel is quite wide.
2) the tip is NOT cool, it's cool-er than the barrel, but it does still get hot.
It only takes a minute or two to heat up and I liked the way the barrel has a curly spiral in it to guide your hair as you're curling it.....this is what makes it a dream to use.
There is a little black lever that you pull down towards the on switch that you guide your hair under, then you turn and twist your hair along the barrel....wait for the count of 10....then release the lever and 'bingo' lovely curls!!
It does make very nice ringlets.
Once I got the hang of using the lever to keep my hair in place and turning it the correct way to make the ringlets, I was able to use it very easily.
They provide a 'heat-proof' soft case to store it in, the plug and cable are all attached, you don't have to 'do' anything with it when you get it, other than unpack it from the box.
Definitely got very good use out of this, it does everything it says it will with the minimum amount of fuss.
One Happy Shopper!
1. The colour matches my other two Remington products.
2. It has a very long extension cord, which means I can plug it in on one side of the bed, but utilise the mirror on the other without getting tangled, or pulling.
3. It heats very quickly.
4. For the most part, the plastic curl guide protects the skin, both on my hands and head when holding the iron close.
5. The handle end is very well designed; ergonomic, as it fits my hand perfectly; a good grip that doesn't slip; and long enough so that the on/off button doesn't get in the way when manoeuvring it in order to curl.
6. It's light, but feels rather sturdy and durable, including the plastic curl guide.
1. The red light only indicates if it is on, or off, not if it's ready to use or, more importantly, has cooled down.

This is superb. It's easy to use (even on very long and thick hair) and the curls stay in for hours. I would definitely recommend this product.Published 22 months ago by JAM
