"I'll buy any book with Elizabeth Lowell's name on it". -- Jayne Ann Krentz "There is no finer guarantee of outstanding romance than the name of Elizabeth Lowell". -- Romantic Times --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
From the Back Cover
New York Times bestselling author ELIZABETH LOWELL revisits the unerring passion of Summer Games to re-create an exquisite contemporary tale of danger, desire, and irresistible temptation.
The most grueling challenge of Raine Smith's equestrian career looms before her -- the Olympic Games. Little does she realize that she's about to face greater perils in the arms of a stranger than she's ever found on the back of her horse.
Cord Elliot is a man trained to deflect disaster and his mission is to ensure that Raine Smith remains untouched by sudden gunfire at the Summer Games. Yet from the moment Raine meets Cord's ice-blue glance, she knows he's more hazardous to her heart than a sniper's bullet. Falling for a man who answers to the call of intrigue and holds secrets that can never be shared is to endure the broken promises, unexplained absences, and constant danger that come with his profession.
But in the fiery passion of irresistible love, a summer to remember seems worth any risk. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.See all Product description

Beginning odd when cord meets raine. Implausible. She wouldnt tell a stranger all about her father especially one who attacked and searched her.
1st half full of very 80s descriptions. When aroused he feels close to violence! Non PC talk of savages.
Book then picked up, was interesting, loads tension re event, horses and barracuda. Romance improved withoutbeing too corny. I enjoyed how it panned out in the end.
Did find Raine self centred with little understanding of security required for her and her family. Wonder at 27 why she would be so naive re the world.
Was a 2* at beginning. Was going to give 3 but decided 4 better as good ending.
Enjoy if you can get past the first part of book.
