I was told about this group and purchased the Cd without knowing the group and wow I did not regret purchasing this . The leading vocalist has an amazing voice and Amalfi is absolutely beautiful.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a Return to that Trip-Hop Sound that Put them on the Map. 8 Jan. 2014

This is another POP album. No surprises here, since they have not bellowed the trip-hop sound in nearly 14 years now, not since the 2000 "The Magnificent Tree" album. I have pretty much given up the thought that they will return to their roots. This album has lots of talent on it and is an easy listen. Wolfs' voice is very melodic and she seems to have improved her vocals through each of her albums with Hooverphonic. I still prefer the vocal leanings of Arnaert, but it is nice to see that Hooverphonic has moved forward once again after the loss of their lead vocalist. This album introduces some male vocals which have been absent from their albums for the most part. It is a nice blend and the male vocals are a nice change on an otherwise lackluster release. Where did the synthesizer go? The last few albums have featured the piano and vocals. Geerts' guitar is relegated to melodic rhythms. I imagine the only time he can flex his muscle these days is playing the late 90's works live in concert. Well, perhaps they have found a niche audience over in Europe, but I don't see this recent release gaining many new American fans. Will they ever fly over the pond and tour in the States? If they do, I am most likely there, but I also won't hold my breath on that one either! "Reflection:" fans will buy it (add to their Hooverphonic catalog), some will love it, some will like it, most won't hate it!!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Really, just very average. 12 Jan. 2014

I was just getting into The Night Before - and that album is actually much much better than this one, and more interesting. Reflection is just too bland, basic, nothing special. I am very disappointed that this is where they are now. Not that they would ever stay the same, nobody does, but this is the blandest one they've ever done, and that is not a good thing. It's not memorable, it sounds like everybody else, harking back to the poppy 60's music riffs and it's so ordinary.
4.0 out of 5 stars Love Hooverphonic 16 Oct. 2015

Two songs worth getting the CD for:
Gravity + Amalfi

I've been a Hooverphonic fan for a while, the new singer is different and very talented.
It will take some time getting used to.

Amazed by Amazon service, thank you! Good cd, not their best by a long shot, but, not too bad either. Must say Wolfs is a great singer.

I had a good time, but this wasn't it! What in the world happened to Hoover(phonic)?
