So it’s the end of the series and I am not alone in saying that I am really sorry to see it come to an end.
And for the this the final hurrah Tessa presents Henrik and Ailish’s story and it wasn’t at all what I expected. I liked the fact that the story hit the ground running that the characters were fully on board with the plot that the author had in mind and that there was no hanging about.
The author was able to ignite a fire in the two of them that needed very little fanning. Henrik might not have been everyone’s perfect guy, he didn’t suffer fools and left very little on the table but he was hiding the fact that from the minute he had set eyes on Ailish he knew that she was worth losing everything for and he almost had…but could he salvage the one thing he wanted more than anything else…. Ailish?
I loved the fact that Henrik was dirty in every way that mattered, he was honest and rough, engaging and articulate but when it came to Ailish he was a little reluctant and that was a lovely aspect to his character.
Ailish was the daughter of a major crime boss and someone that has lived life carefully cossetted from the wider world but that didn’t mean that he didn’t know what was going on, she had knowledge that was not only dangerous to her but also others. Unwittingly on the run, Henrik is sent to bring her back and to convince her to help his unit bring her father down, it was just a shame that her father had his crew’s out searching for her too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hands-down best of the series! 13 Jun. 2016

You know what I love about Tessa Bailey? Everything. Her writing is engaging, her characters are unique, her romantic pairings are epic, and her love scenes are off-the-charts steamy. I have a particular fondness for her entire Crossing the Line series thanks to its motley crew of anti-heroes/heroines but I have to say that the final installment, Raw Redemption, claimed its spot as my new favorite of the series (sorry Bowen). Raw Redemption is a story with high stakes, pulse-pounding suspense, a blush-inducing romance, and a storyline so riveting, you'll be loath to set down your Kindle for even the briefest moment. For all of the aforementioned reasons and more, Raw Redemption by Tessa Bailey is a 5 Star, absolute must-read.

One of the reasons why Tessa Bailey is one of my go-to authors is her penchant for creating dirty-talking Alpha males with a secret romantic side. It’s therefore appropriate that Henrik Vance is a large part of why I’m head-over-heels in love with Raw Redemption. What’s not to love about a guy who’s completely devoted to his woman, even if the woman in question hasn’t gotten the memo that she is, in fact, his woman? Henrik is gruff and intimidating, no-nonsense and domineering, emitting an ever-present air of danger. Even so, he’s putty in the hands of Ailish O’Kelly, the woman who’s not only indirectly responsible for him losing his job as a homicide detective, but who’s also the key to closing his new squad’s most recent case.

As the daughter of one of Chicago’s biggest crime bosses, Ailish is a fascinating study of contradictions. I expected her to be hardened and tough and, while she is a strong, badass female, she also has a certain lightheartedness about her, using her quick wit and her humor to make the best of her situation. Henrik views her as someone fragile and in need of protecting, yet she’s also amazingly resilient and independent. Hers isn't a world of black and white, right and wrong, and it’s this struggle she has within herself that I empathized with. For both Ailish and Henrik, this is a story about redemption and second chances, and it’s only with each other that each can find the fresh start they both desperately want.

Raw Redemption not only has one of the author's dirtiest-talking Alpha males in Henrik and one of the author’s most emotionally-compelling heroines in Ailish, but it's hands-down one of her most jaw-droppingly erotic books to date. If you've read even one of her other books, you know that's saying something. Ailish’s predilection for using her feminine wiles to tempt the opposite sex is the source of the ever-present undercurrent of sexual tension simmering between her and Henrik. And boy is that some potent sexual tension. When Ailish unwittingly meets her match in Henrik, the two engage in a battle of wills, teasing and taunting each other as they indulge in their deepest, darkest fantasies. Did I mention this book is erotic? Raw Redemption should come with a warning for potential readers: will cause raised brows and flushed cheeks.

Swoon-worthy romance: check. Action-packed narrative: check. Special appearances from our favorite ex-cons-turned-crime-solvers: check. With a swoon-worthy romance and a suspense-filled storyline and an ending that neatly wraps up all the remaining loose ends, Raw Redemption is an unforgettable final installment in the Crossing the Line series. Raw Redemption is a captivating read from start to finish and I couldn't have hoped for a more fitting ending.

4.0 out of 5 stars Raw Redemption 27 Jun. 2016

4 Stars, 3 Flames
After sacrificing his career, and basically his sanity, he thinks he could keep his distance from the one woman who changed his life with only 10 words. He succeeds...for all of 6 months. He knows somethings wrong and for him to feel alive again he needs to get to her before her father does.

AHHH! The fourth and last book in the Crossing the Line series and what a ride! This is a spin-off series to her Line of Duty series and it was simply amazing. These characters grab hold and will not let you go until they are good and satisfied. Raw Redemption is all this and more!

Henrik is the odd-man out in his fellow squad mates. Or so it seems. With the squad containing mainly criminals he does not know who to trust being a former cop. Polly and Austin used him (Boiling Point) to gain access to a certain criminal in exchange for whereabouts on Ailish O'Kelly, the one Henrik gave up his career for. He finds out that she has run away on her own from her father and he makes a new vow, to protect her...even from himself.

Ailish is an interesting character. I both love her and think she is to hard on Henrik. Although it is completely understandable as she is the daughter of the notorious crime lord in Chicago. She has a hard time trusting Henrik but when it comes to Erin and Connor she gives them the benefit of the doubt without question. She is also the ultimate tease.

Overall, this was a good conclusion to the series. There were some parts where I thought Henrik was pushing the boundaries to dirty talk but it was easy to get over. His intensity made up for it in bounds!
5.0 out of 5 stars Henrik, bad cop, good cop 19 Dec. 2016

This is a great conclusion to the Crossing the Line series. I've thoroughly enjoyed thIs series with it's dirty talking bad boys and the strong women who love them, and am sad to see it come to an end.
This book features Henrik Vance, the newest member of a motley crew of criminals now working undercover for the police. Henrik, a disgraced former police officer, was kicked off the force after destroying evidence against the daughter of a mob boss. That occurred after meeting her once by accident in a park, where only ten words were spoken, but the look in her eyes did him in. He knew he would do anything to protect her.
Ailish O'Kelly has been raised in an apparent life of privilege. The reality is she's been a virtual prisoner, forced to work for her father as his bookkeeper. So when she's arrested and questioned, she's not surprised. But when she's released without explanation, she's shocked. Finding herself on the street without an escort home, she takes advantage of the situation to run, and she drops off the map. But Henrik has a feeling she's in trouble. His teammate is able to come up with a location from her cell phone, which means others could have, too. And his fears are confirmed when he gets to Wisconsin and all he finds is a bloody knife. Is she still free or has she been taken? Henrik won't stop until he knows the answer. But either way, he's coming for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars Words are powerful... 15 Jun. 2016
By Kindle Customer - Published on Amazon.com

**Disclaimer: This bookworm couldn't help but be sad while reading this book due to the fact it's the last in the series. It was so wonderful to revisit Derek Tyler (swoon), previous Crossing the Line characters, while meeting Henrik and Ailish. Now it's time to say good-bye all over again and I doubt, regardless of how much I wish differently, that we'll be lucky enough to see these beloved characters again.**

"Hell, he'd taken sick pleasure in the fact. Protecting her. Even if she'd never know it." - Henrik

There's power behind words, and for Henrik, all it took was ten of them from Ailish to irrevocably change his path, his career, his everything, forever. However, Ailish has no idea of the power she wields over Henrik. As a cop, he's sworn to uphold the law, follow the evidence, and ensure that justice is served. Yet, seeing her, hearing her, caused him to gleefully throw it all away, because he wanted to, needed to, protect her. He refused to let her go to prison....not while there was breath in his body. So he did what he believed was necessary to protect her...he destroyed evidence. Henrik was given an ultimatum, prison or work under Captain Derek Tyler with his new squad of former criminals, the Tarnished Justice League, that use their skills to help fight crime. *capes not included*

"She could finally break free." - Ailish

Ailish, daughter of dangerous crime boss, Caine O'Kelly, is experiencing freedom, true freedom, for the first time in her life. No one is guarding her, no one is telling her what to do or how to act, she can finally just be...Ailish, not Caine's daughter. And with her newfound freedom, she does something that's unheard of in her family...making money the legal way, with a job, and she couldn't be happier.  Unfortunately, she knows she'll never be able to truly stop looking over her shoulder because her Dad won't let her go. As evidenced when men are sent after her.

Henrik, having just missed Ailish, is regrouping with the Misfits, needing more information on how to find her, as he's against any other outcome. But, the Captain knows Ailish could come in handy in regards to taking down her father. Since both will result in Henrik having Ailish, he agrees, as long as Ailish is safe and he's the one to retrieve her.

When Henrik and Ailish finally come face to face, it doesn't exactly go as Henrik had planned, or hoped. But, unbeknownst to him, one of his fantasies is happening right before his eyes as Ailish is feeling a connection, the same one he's felt since day one. And though she can't currently place from where, she does know she's seen him before. As for Henrik, he now knows the answer to whether or not he imagined the appeal Ailish held for him from just a glance and a few words.

"She actually had the nerve to be better than his memory." - Henrik

How will Ailish react upon learning Henrik has been ordered to use his talents to gain an audience with her Dad? Will she understand that Henrik is doing what he needs to do to keep her safe? That it's his number one priority above all else? Will Ailish grant Henrik with her full trust? What happens when Henrik learns a truth about Ailish he never expected? Will it change how he feels about her, how he views her? How will this revelation impact their future? Can they still have a future?

One-click now to find out all the details, both dirty and sexy, between Henrik and Ailish. Revisit characters from previous Crossing the Line stories, as well as Derek (Protecting What's His and Protecting What's Theirs) from the Line of Duty series. I do highly recommend reading the Crossing the Line books in order, and while not required to enjoy this series, I do also suggest reading the Line of Duty series prior to starting this one as it's the series that started it all, leading to the spinoff of these stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raw Ending 4 Aug. 2016

I didn't cry at the end of the book. (I totally did.)

I'm not going to miss these characters... (Derek, Bowen, Sera, Connor, Erin, Austin, Polly, Henrik.... Ailish....don't go. Stay!! Stay with me!!)

This book. This book left me in a fog. A book hangover. It brought the whole series to full circle and it breaks my heart to part with characters that have been in my life, in my reader's soul for over a year. With that said, Ms. Bailey chose the best characters to end the series with.

Henrik was the last member of the Undercover Squad. Broody, boxer, former cop who lost his badge for protecting a woman who doesn't know him. A woman who the daughter of a ruthless mobster. Ailish, didn't chose this life, she was born into it. But the title of "Mafia Princess" comes with a price. A price she's done paying.

The chemistry between Henrik and Ailish is.. WHOA!! I'm a sucker for scorching scenes and Tessa Bailey definitely brought her game on with this book. Character development was on point. How the leading characters as well as the past characters come together was woven in nicely.

The conclusion to this EPIC series is best described as a gift:
You want to see how it ends. Unwrap it. You need this. This is what you asked for... Tessa signed it, sealed it... she delivered it.
