Kaia and Roman didn't mean to fall in love. They found themselves connected through a mystery that has caused pain and heartbreak in their family. Now both of them are in danger, and they have to find out what's really going on. In the process, they find themselves protecting each other and well... love blossomed. I would take the time to reconstruct a man like Roman. Bruised by life but still capable of deep love and loyalty. I admire that.
Sandra Kerns did it again. Want a romantic but thrilling read? This is it.
This is the story of Roman Smirnosky and Kaia Beecher. He is a home restorer and she is a lawyer. They are both drawn to a small town in Colorado by fairly recent family tragedies. It is actually the place of their heritage. The town is special to both of their families.
They are immediately drawn into the complicated web of intrigue that has tied their two families together for decades. Together Roman and Kaia will try to determine if identical murders 20 years apart, two more recent deaths, an alleged family treasure, and a three-way family feud have all come together to poison the lives of their own generation.
The novel poses many questions: Can the main characters finally block the toxicity? Can they finally bring peace to themselves and to their small town?
For the answers, you must read it! I recommend this book to all readers of light romance and mystery.
