First of all I want to say that I loved the first two books in this series, and like many others I was really looking forward to this release.
The story picks up straight after Kellan and Kiera's declaration of marriage to one another. Kiera is going to go on tour with Kellan and the band.Travelling as Kellan's wife. Girlfriends are not allowed on the tour bus!

Now that Kellan and the boys have a record contract the future looks bright. Travelling to LA to stay in a house owned by the record company seems like one big adventure. At last Kellan and Kiera get to be together on a permanent basis. Kiera who wants to be a writer, is able to do that whilst still remaining at Kellan's side.

But of course there is trouble on the horizon, which comes in the form of Nick the record company executive, and Sienna another singer with the record company. They want Kellan and the boys to record a single with Sienna.

I started to read this with very high hopes. But my expectations of a great read to end this series were soon let down. I found the book to be overlong especially given the plot. I thought it was unbelievable that a record company would force a situation upon one of their artists, especially as he was in a commited relationship. Given Kellan and Kiera's past issues this seemed even more incredulous. The fact that Kiera encouraged Kellan and urged him to do it was a "Say What" moment for me. Her excuse that she didn't want to be in the limelight and attract attention from the press or public, was pathetic, and as a plot devise it was weak.

The further I got into the story the more repetitive it became. With the manipulative actions of Sienna, and Kellan and Kiera tolerating the situation just got boring.

It was good to read what happened next with Kiera, Kellan, the band and their partners, however I felt this was by far the weakest of all three books. This seemed to much more about the band touring than anything else, and the book was at least 100 pages longer than it needed to be. The whole 'husband & wife' thing when they weren't married, was beyond ridiculous and so childish. ("I missed my marriage bed" whines Kiera at one point. Really?!) Also the idea of the record company forcing Kellan into the situation with Sienna when he was engaged was beyond credibility. For the first time I found myself skimming pages, something I never expected to do with a 'Thoughtless' novel as I loved the first two in the trilogy. I will go on to read 'Thoughtful' (Kellan's story) but will take a break from these books for now, as I have been left a bit disappointed by 'Reckless'.

Thoughtless was 10 out of ten Effortless 7out of ten but this was sadly 4 out of ten. Disappointed wanted to love it.Disappointed at first as I found it boring because it lacked the suspense and passion of the first two books. One big thing got on my nerves and I found childish was the referring to each other as husband and wife without been married. The book finished nicely though but a few to many meaningless things were written.

I can't remember the last time I cried reading a book, the hospital and cemetery scenes had me in bits, mixed with the laughter, mainly supplied by Griffin, I couldn't put this final instalment down.
I did think it took a couple of chapters to get going, but I was soon thoroughly engrossed and loved that S C Stephens showed us a side to all of the characters and left us with no more questions.
A lovely fitting finish to this gripping trilogy.
PS I would love to see how far through the alphabet I could get Kellan:-)))

I loved the first 2 books and there was so much hype for this last one I really thought it would be mind-blowing, I expected a lot from it from what i had read on he authors F/B page. I had high expectations. I have to admit it was O/K but not as good as the first 2 and didnt reach those expectations. I found the story line very drab at some points, and tbh some parts really dragged out then other parts to much was put in, its as if the author has tried to shove to much content in to one book with out the quality of the story line, the end was predictable, again it could have been better written, dont get me wrong, its worth the read if you have read the first 2 books, because you need some sort of closure, but i feel that the author failed to grasp a good juicy story line, there was so many options she could have taken! Was this book worth all the hype and worth the wait? and the charges for buying it/ truthfully no, there are far better books and story lines out there to buy that go beyond this one, (if you haven't read the mighty storm by Samantha Towel, download it, its only 69p and its by far one of the best books i have read, its a fantastic rockstar romance book)

Ok, let me start out by saying that I fell in love with the first two books and think the author wrote a beautiful story(I read both within a few days) but I kind of wish it had ended somehow in Effortless. This last story seems to drag on and on and I quite frankly got so tired of Kellan being so whipped and losing his edge that I ended up skimming though pages to get it over. I have not even finished the book and quite frankly don't think I am going to. I think part of the problem is these authors are taking so long to release sequels and third books that you are kind of over them by the time they finally come out. I would wait for this to go on cheaper if I could go back in time as I feel it was a waste of money. I loved the angst and drama in the first two books and felt this last one was just too sappy and drawn out.
