Ok fair enough we get the OVA now and its a good bit cheaper but did they really need to put it in with the complete series, now Im going to have 2 versions of this as nobody in their right mind would buy the original with no OVA on it now.
There is no second season in Japan at the moment, no idea where you heard that from Gaiking. The manga is currently on hiatus and has been for over a year. With the existing material you could probably do a few OVAs at most.
If you love the character designs in HOTD I suggest checking out Triage X, Shouji Sato did the character designs/artwork in the Highschool of the Dead manga/anime and in Triage X, and Triage X is a bit more adult. It doesn't have an anime YET but is currently ongoing and is just a matter of time.
Anyway I'll be buying this as I only have the original DVD edition, so I don't mind supporting the Blu Ray re release.
the second season was confirmed but its not out yet my mistake i get the normal how would people act in a zombie apocalypse but i found HOTD so funny who uses boobs as a gun rest or the two school girls at the start "we,re be friends forever" next second grabed by zombies "get off me bitch"boot down stairs and parts of it was so americanized the sarah palin joke was really funny but thats happening with a lot of animes but im like you got the original DVD and upgrading to blu ray with ova (good old ps3)
Actually the second season wasn't confirmed, they were just rumours started by random fans. You see a lot of those with random anime shows, such as fans saying Bleach will be back soon despite being canceled on Japanese TV a year ago. Best to just ignore rumours till you see something confirmed.
More chance of Triage X getting an anime than this show getting a sequel.
thats the way anime and manga works most of the time i have been waiting for years for the rest of familiar of zero and half dozen more titles they do it with games too i think i will never get tales of vesperia on the ps3
Familiar of Zero won't be continued in dub form, basically Geneon who released the series before they were shut down used Funimation as distro, anyway Funimation later picked up the license and found that it 'sold badly' ignoring the fact that anyone who wanted the show bought when Geneon originally released.
Anyway as far as the anime goes, they recently did a final season in Japan, the show is over now lol
And Tales of Vesperia on the PS3, shame about that. Namco Bandai basically used 360 owners as Beta testers for the game, as the PS3 edition has a whole host of extras and a new character(Patty).
i think bandai learned their lession from that and ni no kuni but we got a good release of tales of graces f lets hope they keep it up with the next tales game just waiting for the second season of squid girl she is so funny
Tales of Xillia is the next release out soon. And Squid Girl, uh.. basically Media Blasters who own the license are poor as heck and have been messing this series around, Manga Ent UK will have to wait for them to release in America before grabbing the license for here.
