I had to purchase this book due to a course I am on. I find it ver simple and basic. I have been advised there are errors in the book. I have now purchased th Teach Yourself set which is more thorough and of more help.

There are Arabic words already at the beginning of the book without the explanation of what the separate signs (of the script) mean. The beginner user is asked to remember the words (in Arabic) almost immediately, which only creates confusion.

In my opinion, it can be useful for someone who already has a background in Arabic (at least who knows the script) to practise the basics.

This is the first book that I used when I began learning Arabic from scratch and found it extremely easy to use and very helpful. Recommended!

I don't think it's very helpful in learning to read arabic - it states that the aim is to get you just to recognise words by their shape rather than actually knowing the alphabet.

For me it doesn't work as a constructive and effective way to get into the language.

The "games" seem to be aimed at a very young age group.

It was cheap, but I still wish i hadn't bought it.
