However, here are my pros and cons -
Decent built in speakers - only lacking bass but to be expected from a compact laptop
Fast performance - can easily chew through many current triple A games at high settings - that 144hz and 1ms response time is great for competitive games
Great looking and fast screen
Loud fans although is to be expected
Only 256gb ssd is low considering the price of this device - current games take up a lot of space
Overall, for the price range it is hard to find a similar device that can match the look of the razer blade. One key tip is know what you are looking for otherwise you'll end up making unecessary purchases. Moreover, all compact laptops that pack dgpu and high performance cpu suffer from the same problem of power limits and reduced cooling - it is a sacrifice of noise to performance to portability.
My problem with the product was with audio drivers and certain hardware.
Audio - I spent a day updating audio drivers and reinstalling windows to try and make it work properly. Games had odd crackling pops at certain audio ranges, other games sounded strange (voices sounded further away and more muffled, and ambient sound seemed way too amplified, the bass was all over the place, this was even after updating to Realtek's latest drivers...), This was in stark contrast to when I used an audio driver that came with my headphones... No matter what I did I could not get this laptop to play sound nicely, and looking online it appears other have had the same issues.
But the worst part was the hardware, I could have grinned and beared the audio, but after under a week of owning the laptop I started to notice that one of the fans was making noises. At lower fan speeds it sounded like the fan was rubbing against something inside the case, however after a day it disappeared. This was until I moved the laptop and the fan decided to crunch and scream to the point that it stopped working. Looking online it appears that this is a common problem with razer laptops due to the cheap fans used. Awful.
I would love to recommend this laptop, I'm sure it works great when it's actually working as expected, however issues like this should not be occuring so soon after buying the product, I will not be getting a replacement as I don't want a repeat of this down the line when I've owned it for longer.
