Raw chia seeds are a highly nutritious little powerhouse of a seed packed full of protein, dietary fibre, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals and are the richest plant source of omega 3 fatty acids known to man. Raw chia seeds contain more polyphenols than fresh blueberries, five times more calcium than dairy milk and more protein, fats, energy and fibre than grains such as rice, barley, oats, wheat or corn. Raw chia seeds can also be used for cleansing, detox, weight loss and energy.

I have heard that the last bite of a banana - you know that gunky disgusting end bit -has been described as the 'devils anus', well let me tell you I would rather eat that last bite every time than subject myself to another bowl of porridge with added chia seeds. Anyhow I'm back off the health kick, traumatised by the taste and texture sensation of those tiny protein powerhouses!
