Funny Bunny is a race to a juicy carrot at the top of a hill full of surprises! Each player gets 4 bunnies and draws cards to either move their bunnies up the hill or to turn the carrot at the top which opens holes that the bunnies can fall into. If a player loses all 4 bunnies, they are out of the game. But if one of their bunnies makes it to the top, they win!
Contents of Funny Bunny:
- 1 Green Hill With a Rotating Carrot
- 16 Bunnies in 4 Colors
- 24 Cards
Funny Bunny is a topsy-turvy rabbit race for 2-4 players aged 5-10 years old. The game comes complete with a green hill with a rotating carrot, 16 bunnies in four attractive colours and 24 game cards.
The green hill is placed in the centre of the table, and each player takes four bunnies, all of the same colour. The cards are then shuffled and placed beside the hill with the picture side face down. The player whose birthday is next begins the race for the carrot. All the cute little bunnies are racing to get to be first to the carrot at the top of the hill--but the path is full of surprises! Suddenly a hole opens up, in tumbles one of the bunnies--and disappears!
Each player in turn has to take a card from the pack and then move their bunny as many squares as is shown on that card. You are allowed to jump any square that is occupied, but beware of the hole in the path--if you land on it you will be swallowed up by the hill! So, show great care when moving your bunnies. Avoid the hole and land on the safe square. Remember--if you lose all four of your bunnies, you are out of the game. At the end of each turn, the player turns the carrot until it "clicks"--one of the squares might open, and if you're safe this time, there's no guarantee for next! Which bunny will win the race to the carrot? --Ben King

Each Player has four beautiful 'bunny' Playing Pieces and at the turn of the top card from a pile, each Player moves according to how many bunny footsteps are shown. If however a 'carrot' image appears, then the carrot in the centre at the top of the hill in the plastic playing area is turned one 'click' and the mechanism is operated!
This is one of those games - though pure luck, is both simple, yet 'unpredictable', and so the game is never won until it is lost! Extremely good quality and very robust which is what one usually gets from the company 'Ravensburger'.
Fun game, aimed at young kids, but everyone will enjoy!
The game itself is relatively simple, but having cards instead of dice was nice change, and helps with counting for young learners with the spots on the cards and counting the steps the bunnies take. A nice little race game, although young children may struggle to know when to introduce their 2nd and 3rd bunnies into the race, they just want to race the first one to the end, but this is a nice lead in to discuss 'strategies' as they get older.
Our 4 year old was just about able to play this without prompting, and the 2 year old was way below the target age, but joined in best he could anyway.
Overall this is a nice change from the standard fare, and is slightly more tactile than something from Orchard for example. Our two also had great fun just setting up bunnies and making them fall through the holes one-by-one.
We all love this game and we highly recommend it!

My 3 and 5 year olds absolutely love this. It is such good fun but easy enough for them to play on their own.Published 6 months ago by Bella's Mum
It is simple enough for even the youngest to play, yet unpredictable enough to keep the excitement.Published 7 months ago by Richard Tol
