Whilst studying physics and the history of science Robin Cooper discovered Buddhist meditation. Finding that studying science during his time at university proved quite stressful at times, he turned to meditation as a way to relax and destress. Learning to meditate soon led him toward Buddhism.
He curtailed his career in science to train for ordination into the Triratna Buddhist Order, where he was given the name Ratnaprabha. This name means 'radiation from the diamonds'. He is currently director of the West London Buddhist Centre.
