This collection of library tracks sees Buried Treasure deliberately eschewing the more conservative sounds associated with Sonoton and instead gathering together some killer sounds recorded for the label between 1969 and 1981. Despite the brief playing time of 42:11, this is one of the best library compilations I've heard in a long time. As the title suggest, there's plenty of moog and brass but the heavy bass, synths and phased fuzz guitars stand out too. There are some really cool synthesized funk, moody jazz vibes and big band sounds to be heard and a lot of these songs wouldn't have sounded out of place on Italian soundtracks from the same period. The quality does not falter for a single moment. Funky, groovy, jazzy, psychedelic and quite often playful, this is a must for 1970's library music and Italian soundtrack aficionados.
