This is a book that will appeal to anyone from Dublin in particular , as the characters and places the author writes about would be instantly familiar to anyone brought up in the city. I found some excerpts enlightening and others very funny. An excellent read.

I have been looking everywhere to buy this book and I was advised to try on-line and I found the book straightaway. It is great to read the stories that I heard as I was growing up and as someone who is following my family tree, these stories puts things into perspective of the hard times that our ancesters had to endure even though I know there was a lot of humour out there.

Gave it as a gift to my father, he got a few chuckles out of it. Not bad, not great was his review.
