I loved reading this you get a better insight into Dig from book 1. I felt so emotional at times reading parts of this. You get to see all the horrors of the past that made DIg the Man he was.
The first part of the story is Dig telling his account of certain situations from book 1.
Then the second part is Grace and Miller and what the future has in store for them.
Grace has been mad at Dig for leaving her, but secrets are revealed that change everything and explain some things too.
I loved Dig I'm pleased we got more background on him. Even if it was heart breaking to read at times.
He loved Grace so much she was the only thing in his life that made him complete. The only thing to keep him grounded, More so I thought than even his Brothers at the MC.
Truly moving story, which you don't get to say about many MC books. I literally couldn't put it down.

The author of Lock and Key has converted me! MC reads aren't usually my cuppa; however, by the time I got to the end of this compellingly good read, I was leaping up and down for joy. Yeah, I'm also a glutton for punishment regarding happy endings and this read certainly takes the cake! But then it got me thinking… How on earth was she going to write the follow up? I had no idea what was in store for me, so when I turned the first page and saw that R & R was written in first person from Dig’s point of view, my delight was ten-fold. Why you may ask! Well, I'd really fallen hard for this drop-dead gorgeous member of the One-eyed Jack MC club and needless to say, I was in for much, much more in his and Grace’s story.
Rewind! Right back to the beginning of Dig and Grace’s relationship. By doing this, the author not only helped me remember each and every miniscule detail between these two protagonists, but as the story progressed, it also shed light on the finer points in the plot. Actually, when I say two protagonists, I really mean three because we meet up with Miller in part two of the story! How I loved this man, too! Considering that two love stories have been woven into different time dimensions, the storyline flows perfectly. Some doubts I'd had about what Dig did or didn't do in Lock & Key became clear and reading his story again didn't bother me in the slightest. Far from it. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know his true persona. He reveals his limitless loyalty to an MC club that’s struggling to survive. He reveals his innermost feelings; his chivalry, his total and utter affection for the only woman he has ever cared for.Read more ›
I didn't do a re-read of Lock & Key before starting this, and I'm glad I didn't as I think I may have been bored with going over things again. That said, the first 2/3rds of the book was entirely from Dig's POV so as the reader I got to learn a lot about him, how he thought, acted, reacted, lived and why he did what he did. The tragedy that shaped him into the man he became. There was a lot of emphasis on club business which I found fascinating. He lived hard, he partied hard, he stood for his club hard and he loved Grace HARD - with everything he was, and he owned it.
If I'm honest I got kinda lost when the story jumped to the present day, I didn't get it at first why we were seeing Grace endure yet more tragedy and then was thinking I had no idea how to rate the book. But .... when the drama kicked in it was a total punch to the gut. Geez, at one stage I couldn't see my Kindle for crying. An author that can get such feels from me deserves every 5 star review she gets, and this one definitely gets 5 heartbreaking stars.
