Because it was over the 30 day Amazon refund policy I can't return the item and there is no link to contact the seller (which is Amazon), which is ironic considering I can contact any other seller of items I've purchased from Amazon. But not Amazon itself when they sell the item!
All in all, great lights if you live somewhere where it never rains. They are very bright. However if it ever rains around where you live, buy something else that is waterproofed.
Also as other reviews here, the light mountings are very poor quality and don't really hold the lights in place when you go over a speed bump or a pothole a little bit faster.
For the same money there are other bike lights that are actually waterproofed.
taking the lights on and off is easy as pie too as they click straight in and out.
I'd say the only downside is the fact it uses AA's and AAA's(included), I prefer newer higher voltage batteries. For the price I've had a good run with them.
I can't comment on longevity as we have not had them long enough, but they seem robust enough and battery life should suit most people, with the possibility of using rechargeables.
I only award 4 stars rather than 5 because, in common with nearly all available led lights, their legality is in question, not because of performance, I think, but because manufacturers seem loathe to apply for BS approval, leaving he onus of responsibility on us users.
Rear light: brilliant. Wide and noticable - I use the rapid flash mode mostly and it lights me up like a Christmas tree. The only issue I have with it is the number of modes is not really necessary - solid, rapid flash, slow flash and Knight Rider mode strikes me as overly fussy. Also the waterproofing could be improved as it has failed on occasion after getting wet. It works now having been kept dry and warm.
The fitting for the front light is the weakest part of the whole shebang in my view. The fork which the screw head is supposed to gain purchase against as you tighten the assembly to the handlebars, is made of really inadequate plastic, which bends and spreads out as you tighten it. This component really needs a metal insert to strengthen it to functional standards.
