One of my all-time favourites. First off, it's one of the best sounding guitar records I've ever heard- there is so much happening underneath the swirling noise that you might hear something new each time you listen to it. Another reason is almost every song has been my favourite, and another is that moment in Pile-Up when the intro changes to the verse, which still sends shivers down the spine to this day. Even other reason is that it is equisitely sequenced. But enough from me, if you can find it at a decent price (difficult) then do yourself a favour.

25 years on & still a classic debut album. Effects laden roaring tunes that still hold their own against offerings from current bands of the same vein. So much better listening to this analogue over the digital format I've previously used.

Swervedrivers debut is without doubt the greatest ever by a British guitar band. Filled with an honest raw emotion only touched upon by Mr Kobains noisesters years after, Its a tragic fact that if this record had've been released by an American band five years later it would have sold millions!! The tracks blend into one another to paint a musical soundscape which takes you on a "trip" through lost love, hate, euphoria & finally hope. You realise how good this record is over repeated plays, as it takes you on new adventures & becomes your soundtrack to those bleak days we all have. The biggest compliment I can give this inspirational, stunning record is that it's the best thing ever put out on the now defunct Creation Records. Better than Screamadelica, MBV or anything those Oasis tossers could manage. The News of there demise is very much true but they left the goods. YNWA
