Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
This is a very readable biography of one of the forgoten figures of late Victorian politics. Although it is not the longest and most detailed work it is a very interesting book. It is also a very compelling portrait of a man's transititon in his political beliefs through the years and how this led to him never acheieving the highest offices in the land.
