From the Back Cover

Since the night of her seventeenth birthday, Skye has been torn between opposites: light and dark, the Order and the Rebellion, Devin and Asher.

Her decision shocked both sides, because she chose neither.

With the help of her friends, Skye forges her own path, setting out to gather an uprising of Rogues. But completing the mission her parents left unfinished is more difficult—and dangerous—than she could have imagined.

Dark days lie ahead, and if Skye is to survive, she'll need to rely on her extraordinary powers and the strength of her will. Because she has a future—and a love—that's worth fighting for.

A Radiant Sky is the final book in the Beautiful Dark series. All the events in Skye's life have been leading up to this. The battle to keep the balance between the Order and the Rebellion is here and Skye is facing it with strength, courage, hope and love. She is finally learning to trust not only herself but the people she loves. Not everyone is going to make it through this and afterwards nothing will be the same.

Skye has grown as a person, she see things differently. Skye still struggles (and who wouldn't her her position) but she stays the course. She realize that lots of people do things that they would rather not and that finding the balance was always something that she alone could do and had to do. I love how Skye's friends stay by her side no matter what, they have a true friendship and I love that they are regular people and aren't kept in the dark about the supernatural world that's around them.

The whole Devin and Asher debacle comes to a close, Skye picks once and for all. I have to say that part of me never really trusted either because they were there on a mission and that mission was Skye. I hated how they both seem manipulative and you couldn't really count on them. However, I do like that they had something that meant something to them, something that they believed in and fought for.

This book did not end how I expected it to. The battle was a little weird, characters did things that I don't understand and I don't understand how one event happened and that changes certain things. Very confusing. Anyway it still ended on a decent note for the series.

A Radiant Sky had love and loss, heartbreak, battles, family and friendships and discovers. It is the end of a pretty decent series, if you read the other books in the series then this one is worth checking out.
4.0 out of 5 stars Near perfect conclusion 5 Jan. 2014

The Beautiful Dark series has been one of my favorite angel-centered young adult series and I'm sad to see it end. There was character growth, a great plot, two swoon worthy guys, and a main character who isn't perfect but doesn't let that get in her way. A Radiant Sky was a wonderful ending to this series, and even though it had a couple moments that were a little cheesy, I loved it.

Skye has grown up a lot in the past year. Since discovering she is the daughter of angels, one from the Order and the other from the Rebellion, she's had attempts on her life, on her friends' lives, and watched as people she cares about suffer. Instead of taking the easy way out by picking a side to fight for, she defies everyone and chooses to fight for herself, for her cause. She will not belong to either faction and allow herself to be controlled as a means to an end. Making this choice puts both sides against her and puts the lives of those around her at risk.

Skye has really come into her own power. She's embracing her powers, learning how to fight and control them. She's playing an active role now, making her decisions and not allowing them to be made for her. She's standing up to her fears and learning how to fight past them, even if she can't get rid of them. Her family and friends are what make her strong and she uses those bonds to motivate her. It was wonderful to read her becoming the woman she needed to be in order to fight for the world she loves.

Asher is a little absent in this novel, but I don't really mind. It forced Skye to realize who was important and worth fighting for. The moment they come back together is completely worth every moment of Asher being gone. Devin also plays an interesting role in this novel. The love triangle is gone, but that doesn't mean he isn't in Skye's life anymore. They come to an agreement about their relationship, one that they both can live with, and in the end it makes them both stronger.

There were only a couple moments that took me out of the novel. I'm all for personal reflection and realization, but there were times when it went past reflection and moved into nearly eye-roll inducing. It didn't happen enough to really hurt the book for me, but I could have done without them. There were also a few things that fell into place a little too perfectly; a little more challenge surrounding those moments would have been nice.

A Radiant Sky is a fantastic conclusion to a great series. It is the showdown between order and chaos, where the outcome isn't known until the very end. It kept me guessing and intrigued, wondering how things would unfold and what the losses would be. And when I finally reached those last words, everything felt right. It was the ending Skye earned.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Radiant Sky by Jocelyn Davies ( A Beautiful Dark #30 28 Jan. 2014

A Radiant Sky by Jocelyn Davies (A Beautiful Dark #3) gives us the ending to a great series. A Radiant Sky picks up where A Fractured Light left off. Everybody has chosen a side with Skye in the middle. She decides to pick up where her parents left off (finding the 4 Rogues) and that meant finding James (Ian’s father) and Aaron (Aunt Jo’s old flame). Skye and Raven found Aaron but he had a daughter named Earth (whom I absolutely adore). They talked him into coming back to River Springs with Earth.

The Rebel’s set fire to Aunt Jo’s business caused a flash flood and Astaroth invaded Skye’s mind. Skye thought Earth might be the 4th Rogue. Earth and Skye go outside and Earth shows Skye how she can touch the stars and that she was only able to do it once before and the stars spelled out that she was to help Skye.

After the flash flood, Skye stepped up her investigation into finding James.
The book wrapped up nice and neat. The characters were just as fabulous in this book as they were in the previous books. However, I think the best character in the book was Earth. She was such a great character and so wise for her age.
It’s a definite must read! Sad to see the series go.

Great series. Some sadness at the end but very well written. A good story. Would LOVE the story of the Ian's parents, Skye's parents, and Aunt Jo's. At least 3 more books could be written!!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Expected ending, yet still enjoyable 7 April 2015

It was easy to guess how the series was going to end. But even with knowing that, the author did a good job at articulating it in a way that was still exciting and kept my attention. The author definitely writes in a more complex and deep way than others in this genre.
