What a marvolous book - no wonder Ellen Mcarthy said she enjoyed it. My daughter has not put it down and cannot wait for her next sailing trip. Wonderful drawing and instructions in language children will both enjoy and understand - love the jokes.

A brilliantly clear and informative book which we as adults use over and over again. Initially bought for its multi-sensory approach with its partner the Sailing Activity Book. Being dyslexic the clear step by step instructions in the standard RYA books did not work for me but the fun approach in these books is perfect. Every adult learning to sail really needs this book in their collection, don't be put off by the young sailor in the title. We are all young at heart.

Yes it has childish drawings and uses small words, but if you're doing a Level I or II course as an adult then the facts the book covers still hold true and you're not going to be up all night trying to fathom out what the author is on about.
