No ones reviewed this edition and I'm not going to go on about the music on this LP as its to be found elsewhere. The sound quality on the record is the best I've heard. The pressing is prefect as is the lovely packaging. Every band has to start somewhere and Rush first LP is a good debut. Very Led Zepp but already Rush were finding their feet. The rest is history.

At last Rush's debut album - something of a raggedy orphan in the Rush recorded history - is given the kind of respect and reverence it deserves. It features the trio's original drummer, John Rutsey, who, although being a strong player, lacks some of the finesse of Neil Peart, and some of the songs lack the kind of lyrical weight that they'd later more fully develop, but this is still a raucous, powerful album, with some pointers to the future. Of course, it owes a huge musical debt to Led Zeppelin, but that said, it has a kind of Garage Band Heavy Metal appeal that is timeless and charming. The heavyweight vinyl pressing and remastering job means that the original crunch and roar is enhanced, and the packaging is similarly high-quality. The opening track, 'Finding My Way' still resonates as one of the raunchiest things they ever cut, and Geddy Lee has that Robert Plant on helium vocal style that cuts through the layers of guitars brilliantly. Few bands make their first album sounding utterly unique, and it would take a few albums before Rush really hit their stride, but the key elements are mostly present and correct here, 'Rush' ROCKS, pure and simple!

This was well worth taking my old sony turntable out of storage to set up again as i had it packed away for years never thinking i would use it again.
The release is just like the original from 1974 as on the moon records label, and the quality of vinyl at 200g and feeling heavy,as
vinyl i purchased over 20 years ago was never like this.
The box and the contents are superb, and some reviews noted some streaking from the family tree insert, but luckily i never had
that problem, and also the album jacket and poster look great along with the 3 prints of the band.
The box also shows the original master tape label notes printed on the inside,as it would have appeared and for a 40th anniversary
its well worth it,PLUS you also get the digital download card as well so even if you are a collecctor with no turntable you can still
access the music.
It states limited edition so get it while you can,as i'm sure it will sell out quickly.
The music everyone knows about but this package is well produced, and it took me a while to decide but i'm glad i did go ahead
and buy.

Oh my giddy aunt
The mother load arrived in pristine condition looking like the best thing ever (well, for a Rush fan anyway)
Packaging was frankly very protective and totally suitable
Impressed me do much I'm trusting them for the rest of the Rush catalogue - got Fly By Night and Caress Of Steel in there too
Equally good condition and things of wonder

Everything has already been said about this, nice package, very good sounding vinyl. It was the only Rush album I didn't have up to Presto. Can't believe I got it for £12 from Amazon last week. (price now £43)

The contents of the box are exactly want I wanted. I have the original vinyl pressing and wanted this to hear the difference and add to my RUSH collection of every disk they have issued. Sadly this didn't survive the journey from the US very well as all the contents were loose in the box. This resulted in the inner and outer sleeve being broken by the disk movement, the cards and poster getting creased and all-in-all a somewhat sad offering for a 'collectable'. I feel any idiot would have understood a 'heavy weight' vinyl disk would need to be securely retained to survive travelling! :(

One of my favourite Rush albums gets a beautifully packaged high quality re-issue on vinyl. The vinyl sounds fantastic and the album sleeve has been perfectly re-produced. The record is housed in sturdy box that contains promo pictures of the original line up, a poster advertising the release of the album and a family tree. Time to put the vinyl on the record player and listen to "Working Man".
