    I bought it for a budget build i can't argue with the price but it came with some marks on it the handlebar switch is loose and the cable itself is frayed and looks like it will snap so I'm pretty scared to use it to be honest.Also where the cable is routed its quite tricky to fasten the saddle to it as you can only do it from an angle which will round off the bolts so its loosely fitted

      It’s good to see Raleigh back in business, albeit fallen from the world’s biggest bike maker to a seller of Taiwanese accessories. Bike bits like this dropper seatpost are usually ludicrously expensive and hard to fit as an add-on. This is neither. It was reasonably priced, looks solidly made, was nicely packaged, easy to install and works perfectly. Early days but this looks like a very good buy. Probably heavier than the keenest riders would like but looks unlikely to break.

      I brought this in January as it was a decent price and in budget wish i didnt. By April it was broke the seat started rotating 360° with out me moving it, then started to jam and wouldn't decend or extend.
      Sent an email to Raleigh and they was no help what so ever in trying to sort the issues out i recommend saving your money and purchase and known brand even though they are more expensive but will save money in the long run.

      nowhere near as smooth as a reverb, but the only dropper i could find for a 27.9 seat-tube. cable tension adjustment is very important - too slack and it won't disengage, too tight and it won't stay latched in the lower positions causing the seat to rise unexpectedly. needs to be thoroughly cleaned if mud/dirt has got into it but it has relatively simple and robust innards. As best as I can tell Raleigh no longer warranty this product so if it goes wrong then you're stuffed.

      Purchased in June 2023 and was initially quite pleased with it, fitment was easy and it worked straight out of the box.

      Around a year later the dropper has failed, Initially thought it was a cable issue but it appears something internal to the dropper has failed (looks a bit like a fork internal).

      If you are going to be doing only light riding i.e. commuting on a hybrid bike then this dropper is probably fine for you.
      I installed it on a hardtail and put it through quite a bit of abuse with the obvious outcome. Compare this to the dropper that came installed on my Lappiere gravel bike which has had far more consistent use and abuse but is still fully functional.

      I probably would buy one again for lighter use but for actual MTB trail riding it's worth the extra cash money for something more hardy.
