I bought this battery as a replacement as I was starting to have problems with my original Orange one (despite the fact that it was only 4 months old) and thought I would check out the battery first as it was a really cheap option and was a lot easier than goping into an Orange shop and then changing phones etc

It works perfectly now - and just goes to show you that the own brand one is not always better than a cheap alternative!

I realise that this is only my own personal experience but hey that's all I can report on.

Does the job and cheap as chips!

I bought this as a spare battery, so didn't try to use it for some weeks. When I did it refused to charge. The message 'charging' appeared on the phone briefly and then disappeared. I wrote an email to the address given by the company asking for a replacement and what to do with the faulty one. I got no reply. Eventually it transpired that they didn't reply because I had to email them via Amazon. Once I did that they sent me a new battery quickly, without asking me to return the old one. The new one is working normally.

Not suitable for the phone

The first ZTE Blade battery I ordered from UK-goods via Amazon cost (£) and was clearly a genuine ZTE battery with all the same labelling as the original that came with my phone.

However when the price dropped to (£) I ordered a couple more. What arrived look suspiciously different to me. They don't have the date of manufacture on them, they claim to be 1300mAh rather than 1250mAh but still claim to be 5.9Wh (that figure ought to increase in proportion to the mAh so I'd expect 6.1Wh or maybe 6.0Wh). Also the Gold contacts are different and not sunken like the originals so they press harder than they should on the spring contacts in the phone.

There is also a round gold hologram effect sticker with some other manufacturers name on it. Very similar to stickers I have seen on some very disappointing fake Palm Treo batteries I once bought on ebay.

Now, it's possible that none of this matters at all, and that they are good batteries but if the manufacturer was prepared to lie and put "Manufacturer: ZTE CORPORATION" on them who's to say they didn't lie about them being 1300mAh too, or about them meeting CE safety standards.

They might be 800mAh or maybe even be liable to rupture and/or catch fire.

Tried everywhere in Swansea to get a replacement battery for my san francisco phone every shop i tried said that they couldent get one,looked on amazon and found one straight away ordered it and was delivered within 3 days put battery in and charged it up no problems so far,real value for money would really recommend

Doesn't seem any better or worse than the original battery. Only worth it if you really want a spare battery as it seems good value.

got this as my CM7 OSF was having a hard time with batteries, put this in charged it up, expected a little bit more - nope quite a bit more (same os) went from - have to charge every night to nearly 2 days.. same use same os.. and my OSF aint that old only 8 weeks or so.. Great decision to get this one..
