So far, I have been able to run my large fridge, a single 750 watt cooking burner (ran for 15 minutes til I got bored), a small space heater for ten minutes (again, til I got bored) and anything you can imagine that takes less power. Our fridge is a Maytag side by side energy saver that says it draws 750 watts. I learned you have to shut the ice maker off, although, it will still function. When you first plug it in, you will notice a 20 amp draw and your voltage will go down for only about 15 to 20 minutes. after that, your voltage will go back up, even when the compressor comes on. Not sure why, but that's what it's done for me.
During December, when there isn't as much sun, even six panels is having a difficult time charging the batteries, but I'm confident as the year goes on and the sun is out longer, it should be what I need.
Over all, this is a great product, you just have to get the right balance of panels versus batteries. I would give it five stars except it doesn't come with the wiring needed to get it running.
Remember, you will need:
Signstek Y Branch MC4 1 Male to 4 female splitter (TIMES TWO)
Solar Panel Cable 100 Ft - Mc4 Pv Extension (cut it in the middle and splice the ends to hook into the controller.
MT-5 LCD Display Remote Meter for Solar (Optional, but very highly recomended) It tells you the status of your panel charge in, your batteries and your output
Cobra CPI-A4000BC 4-AWG Heavy-Duty AC Power...(You will need zero or one gauge wires to the inverter from the battery pack)
(OVER 1,000 WATTS WILL NEED ZERO GAUGE WIRES)
I will say if your getting this for an rv you will want to use your own bolts and/or screws as i did not trust the ones provided to hold them down while driving down road etc used 16 3" 1/4" bolts with nuts lock washers and lots of calk and its real sturdy through high winds and all.
Even in snow fall was pulling 60-70 volts in sunshine last day that was nice it reached about 90 volts and was fluxing between 77-90 volts on the MT5 tracer panel will update with pictures once i have a chance but overall im very pleased with my first solar purchase ever and from renogy definitely has lived up to my expectations be using them again if/when i upgrade or need more then this power wise :)
