About the Author
Susan Penny has become one of Britain's best-loved craft writers. She has already written more than 50 books and introduced tens of thousands of readers to new craft skills and memorable projects. Many of her books, like 'Knitted Cakes', have become international best sellers. Susan's internet blog 'Thread' has a huge cult following in the craft world and, as a well-known and colourful craft personality, she is often asked to write for glossy homes and crafts magazines. Her background is an arts graduate who has turned her love of making things into a career. After launching and editing some of the biggest and best craft magazines in the UK, Susan is now one of the most respected designers, writers and editors in the contemporary British craft scene. Susan is just as happy working with needle and thread as a crochet hook. For her latest book 'Quick Knits small and pretty', she reaches for the knitting needles and comes up with a collectiom of over 20 charming small projects, all presented in her typically easy-to-follow way.

I bought this for the robin pattern, but I thought it looked a bit messy as it was in the book so I added a back side. I also had to alter the pattern of the wings slightly so they didn't look silly. I was hoping that there would be some other patterns that would interest me in the book but there weren't really. It's alright but could be better.
