Frances Fyfield goes from strength to strength flying in the face of the obligation to always 'show and not tell'. Her insight into the formulation of the characters she creates is entrancing and beguiling. More than a good read it touches the chords she so admires on her Radio 4 programme. Brilliant!

It was okay - but not as gripping as the other stories/books I have read by this author. I couldn't really identify with the characters at all.
