If you think that genealogy is boring, you will be surprised how lively and interesting this book is. Very often genealogical reference books are endless family trees with many dates and titles, often in small print and really just a helpful tool.
This book is different. While all the necessary information are there, the texts actually reveal something about the personalities and the photos show them. Here the authors had collected intensely and 164 rare pictures, mainly focusing the lesser known royals, enhance this unique work.
So this book is far more than a mere reference book but more like a whole collection of small biographies of European Royalty.
A companion volume up-date, gives information on over 100 new descendants having been born, others having been married or died since the publication in 1997.
Two books to be enjoyed.

It is accurate as of its publishing date and also has a supplement published to update the information present in it. It is a great reference book to own if you traverse through biographies of her (Queen Victoria's) descendants.
I strongly recommend this book.
