A Good Reads Choice Award winner for Best Young Adult Fantasy/Sci-Fi for 2015 (:)

Character motivations and interactions. . . are always nuanced and on point, especially as Aelin's growing maturity offers her new perspectives on old acquaintances. . . Impossible to put down. (Kirkus Reviews)

Fans of the high-fantasy series likely won't mind the protracted story at all, packed as it is with brooding glances, simmering sexual tension, twisty plot turns, lush world building, and snarky banter. . . Yet again another great book in the series and I feel the tone becoming older like our characters in the book. They are truly adults now with the weight of kingdoms and looming wars. Every single character develops and deepens with each installment and they keep me riveted. Celaena/aelin is just an amazing heroine. Not perfect by any means but strong and loyal and lives deeply. Rowan is her perfect match. He is a beautifully complex character and I love reading from his POV

Can't wait for the next book!

I rarely give 5 stars for anything on any review site, but this series is really good. Up there with Buffy The Vampire Slayer - and from me that's very high praise indeed! One can identify with the characters (though I think Chaol is ridiculously pig-headed) and I love Manon and her 13 - and a real disabled character is good too. The story arc is pleasingly complex, but still easy to follow - though not to predict. I really hope to be able to see this on TV or filmed.

This book was HUGE, and fabulous, and heart-racing. It developed the plot, added new characters, developed some side-characters, and kind of allowed others to be oddly reborn.

However, this book wrecked my heart, could be too slow in places, didn't fully develop some character relationships (a ship that sink with little explanation), and the story is moving progressively away from character driven to plot driven.

I'm a big mess on emotion and confusion, and I need the whole series to be released so I can read the whole thing in one go, because my brain can't cope.

This is once again an amazing book by Sarah J. Maas. She managed to capture me in a world filled with magic, romance and much much more. This story is beautifully woven together in a way that makes you feel you are actually part of the story along with these amazing creative characters.
All in all, I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a good read. (This review talks about all the books in the series, so if you have not yet read the first ones don't hesitate to start reading them right now!)

This is delicious from beginning to end. Perfectly written, I was never a fan of third person narrated stories until this one came along.

HONESTLY.

This was bloody fantastic.
