Product Description

As an icy comet races across outer space, USA technicians become frantic as the comet makes an unexpected turn. Destination? Earth. Sudden Panic sets in as the after effects leave radiation and debris lingering, thus the potential to destroy an entire city, or even the entire planet. Mayor, Ben Marshall (Randy Mulkey), is struggling to balance his health issues, career and family life. Now he has far bigger problems to deal with as he notices the sky getting strangely, frighteningly dark. When bizarre formations start appearing there is nothing to do but panic and start figuring out a plan of action. Terry, (Rhett Giles), Ben s autistic brother believes he can help the masters of the scientific world, while son Leo (Stuart Lafferty), seems more interested in charming his new crush Lindsay (Kristen Quintrall). Ben s wife, Lynne (Stephanie Jacobsen) finds their daughter Samantha (Jenna Craig) has not made it to school. Is fear taking over? As Chaos sets in, activities get stranger and scarier. The world begins to see a pattern of natural disasters . Tornadoes sweep through the cities, giant waves are consuming towns and the streets become dark and bare of citizens. Can the most gifted scientists put their genius plan into action and save the world? or is it too late....?

Don't waste your time or money buying this film.
Quantum Apocalypse was so awful it made 2012 look like a masterpiece production.
The special affects were so poor they were comical but the acting was the worst aspect about this film, it was pretentious to the point it made me cringe from start to finish!
Don't be deceived by the title of the film!

I totally agree with the 1 st review, it is a very bad movie. Some movies are that bad that they are actually good, or even laughable. Not this one it is just inaccurately bad with shallow and irritating characters and script. I had the impression that the scriptwriters had latched on to some physics buzzwords like "Dark Matter", "Quantum Pyhsics" or "Spacetime" and tried to build a movie around it. The 'Punk Rock Chic' Physisist (or whatever she was supposed to be) done it for me, it was just so completely wrong, professional people do not behave of act in that manner.

This is a family drama with a dull script. There is very little in the way of special effects and the cover art is simply that - what is on the box doesn't happen. The picture is ordinary - the blu-ray is only DVD quality. The sound is awful. The cover advertises that there is a DTS HD MA track but this is not true. There is only a horrible lossy AC3 track. If you must by this, don't bother with the blu-ray.

save your money! The acting is wooden, sound is terrible, story lame and the effects belong in the 80's .....90 mins of my life I'll never get back.

Ive just watched this movie on the Blu Ray Addition. Dont even buy it, i have never seen a blu ray movie so grainy in all the blu ray films i have bought. The only part of movie that looks even close to HD quality is the computer generated stuff. Views of film also not great so if you wanna buy just buy normal DVD let your player upscale it and i'm sure it wont look any different to the BLU RAY version of the movie ive just watched

The worst acting & 'special' effects I've ever seen!
We couldn't even watch it, it was that bad, turned it off after 20mins.
Given it to a charity shop, some poor unsuspecting victim is now going to purchase it-just like I did!
I bought this film from Tesco on a whim, now I know why it was only £3.00!
Seriously, don't even think about buying it!

Honestly, I have seen worse disaster movies than this, but this is still an extremely bad movie! The script is of the same that many have used before, disaster looms, bring in some brilliant yet rather off-hand scientists to solve the problem, but the day is saved by a mentally impaired genius! The acting is weak, camerawork is steadily boring and the special effects are low quality, but at least they keep in with the theme of such a bad movie!

If you want a laugh at a bad movie, go watch Starship Troopers 2, as there is nothing about this movie that will give that laugh! Unless you count that you actually parted more than £5 for it!!

This is not a slick, high budget disaster movie with eye-popping special effects, and the science-babble is less than convincing. What made the film enjoyable for me, however, was the fact that I liked the characters: Mayor, Ben, was good natured; brother, Terry - the eccentric genius with the answer to the problems - was well portrayed, and I actually cared what happened to them all. Admittedly the ending was a little too neat - but I thought the story was well paced, and it is certainly an enjoyable film to watch if you don't take it too seriously.
