From the Back Cover
It is hard for a student starting out on a business degree to have any idea what to expect from a quantitative methods course. Yet the contribution of statistical and mathematical techniques - to the effective running of an organisation, to decision-making and to operational efficiency - is a vitally important one. Quantitative Approaches in Business Studies provides a clear and accessible introduction to these methods, ideal for students of business and management on undergraduate, Masters and professional courses.
With a uniquely user-friendly style, Clare Morris' popular treatment of this challenging subject is carefully designed to build students' confidence in the use and interpretation of quantitative methods. Encouraging conceptual understanding as well as practical aptitude, the text leads the reader from an initial chapter revising basic mathematics through to a concluding chapter discussing statistical research methods for student projects. Practical guidance on the use of Excel for quantitative analysis runs throughout the text, integrated with an online Excel workbook on a companion website (www.pearsoned.co.uk/morris).

Top customer reviews
Sure it was boring, but then again aren't all textbooks?
I forced myself to sit down with this book and the module handbook a week before the exam and I came out with 75% in the exam, so it was worth it.
Just make sure you read it and make lots of notes, it worked for me!
Students, if this comes up on your reading list, I would recommend you get it (borrow it first though), particularly if you're doing an Economics course, because I'm still using mine now to refresh my memory on how to do certain calculations and I'm in my second year.
Regarding contents, it is very useful and easy to read. Author has her own style or writing and all theories are explained with loads of problems. Examples, self-check questions in eaach chapter and exercises at the end of them help to practice and consolidate material.
Reccommend for Business students.
