I came to Money Mark years ago as I was a big Beastie Boys and found out that their keyboardist did his own solo music.

I first bought Marks Keyboard Repair and liked the tongue-in-cheek bossa nova tinged fuzz box tunes.

Push the Button follows this template and adds a heavy dose of pop sensibility to the mix.

There is nothing too heavy here, the beats and mood are pretty light hearted.

A good, easy listen that stands up to repeated plays.

I can't possibly absorb all the music in the world, but a TV advert brought to my attention Money Mark and "Tomorrow will be like today". Sometimes a song will reach you, and you'll relate to it. This did for me. I'm too old for it to be part of the soundtrack of my life, but for the next few months perhaps it will be.

I bought this on the basis of that song used it a well known advert on tv. Put simply, that song "Tomorrow Will Be Like Today" is the only good song on this dreadful offering. Luckily for me I only paid £2 for it here (I see its now being sold for between £17 to £31 now - perish the thought!!). Just have to put this down to experience.

So it is a bit difficult to get into, but once you do, this album is excellent. Great melodies and a variety of styles. Bossanova 101 and Crowns are slightly standout, but generally all the tracks are great. The penultimate track is a fast one and I tend to miss it, as I reckon he is taking the mickey a bit.

Sounds quite similar to the Beastie Boys 'The In Sound Way Out' at times, but more varied and melodic.

I have heard some of his other music and nothing seems to compare with this period. At the time it was voted to be one of the best albums of 1998, which is why I bought it and I have never regretted it.

expecting the usual beastie boys..... not likely, this cd took me by surprise, it is mellow ,chilled and is full of chunky, splendid sounds from the man responsible for us all taking note of the VW., THIS is an Essential Buy - trust me.
