Good continuation of the story! I love all the action. Strong female characters is a plus too. I can't wait to see where this goes.
So well written.

Love the series and cannot not wait for the next book. These books are different then most of your other Dragon stories but so worth reading.
Fantastic, terrifying, romantic and magical. I couldn't stop reading once I started.

This is the first book I've read from this author, and boy have I been missing out. This is the fourth book in this series and although it can be enjoyed without reading the others first, I would have loved to have read the others beforehand. That being said, I absolutely loved this book. It captured me from the beginning. Nero is the kind of alpha I would want for my very own. Becca is a soldier suffering from PTSD made worse by her abduction and torture by a rogue dragon. Somehow during her torture, she now has a mental connection with Nero that she doesn't believe is real. She thinks he's the "devil's master"and she's crazy and losing her mind. Due to the connection, she's also in Nero's head and can hijack his thoughts unknowingly. He can she what she sees and hears what she hears, distracting him from his work and his thoughts. He needs to find her and figure out what is happening. At the same time, the dragon Prince is losing his fight with sanity and threatening all dragon kind. If you like military action, magic, court politics and/or dragons, this is the book for you. The characters are so full and multi-dimensional I could feel all the turmoil in each of them. Even though I hadn't read the previous books, I felt like I could understand them and some of what they had gone through to get to this spot. I must say again that I LOVED THIS BOOK. Suffice it to say that you really must pick up a copy of this book and enjoy all of the nuances of this story. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
No exploding dragons, or kittens....

Nero, the ancient dragon. Becca, the war scarred Captain, and captive of dragon hunters. Having lost his mate centuries ago, Nero never thought he would find another. And now her voice in his head is causing problems while he protects the mages from discovery. I had a hard time following the dialog. Who was speaking, in her head, out loud. Having not read the previous books, I had to guess who was the bad guy, etc. To read this as a standalone, you had no idea of the backstory and the disjointed dialog made it a difficult read for me. Also, I want my dragon stories to have a dragon "explode" into his form and "save the day". Just spirits of dragons, no big scaly beings.
