I was streaming Music from my NAS to the Jongo S3 using the Pure Connect App and playing Internet Radio in under 10 mins.
I had read earlier reviews when this function wasnt available but it is now supported and works well.
You do need to spend a few minutes working out where things are in the Pure Connect App as main screens are focused on their Music Streaming service but after getting to your music section and "devices" its pretty simple.
Also the S3 showed up straight away as target device in bubblepnp so i dont have to use pure connect app if i dont want too.
I had no problems with the S3 on my wireless network I use Homeplugs with wireless access points (they all set to the same SSID name and password, etc.) to extend the range of my wireless the S3 just connects to the strongest signal.
Speaker is quite small it sites happily on the window sill in the kitchen but is plenty load enough fto fill out biggest rooms. Sound quality is good well for me anyway. Battery life not tested it fully but I ran it streaming radio and music wirelessly for about 4 hours + and it was still going fine
I am thinking of getting a second for stereo sound as battery operated with no need for wires i can place anywhere
PURE have now confirmed that due to technical issues they have had to cut all support in relation to the jongo speaker being able to connect to the Pure sensia 200d connect. What this means is that if you want to stream music from your sensia to your jongo YOU CAN'T simple, they will not connect. speaking with Pure their answer was that they had thought very carefully about this (mmmm I somehow doubt this) and now offer support so that you can connect and stream from the pure connect app from your phone and pc WOW!!! and have made the app and firmware better for the radio as this option of streaming was causing all sorts of issues with stability. Yet again another own goal for Pure, why do we as consumers put up with style over content time again with this company. As usual Pure were their usual defensive self. I asked what would have happened if I had kept my jongo, £170 at the time, their reply was they had that covered and had considered it all. I can only assume like my previous review is that they haven't sold alot of the two products together. As a stand alone item i'm sure its up there with the best however it was sold as an add on and promoted with the original system, am i the only one to like having matching products and matching brands hoping for seamless compatability?? Oh well i would now give this 0 stars and will review the sensia again to make people aware of this blunder by Pure.Pure Sensia 200D Connect Portable Wireless Music and Radio System with Colour Touchscreen and USB Record - White
Bought this from PC World as I am still sceptical about Pure products. The actual build quality and designs are great and some of the best on the market, but yet again Pure let themselves down with poor firmware testing.
Bought the jongo on a Saturday and the set up was a dream with my netgear virgin router as simple as a button press on router and the same on the jongo, very simple to read and understand instructions. I have the pure sensia 200d Connnect which is in my lounge and the jongo upstairs, the connection between these two was initially flawless. Then the dreaded pure firmware arrives buggy as ever and I don't seem to be the only one who suffers. Product works great no issues then they release a firmware update and suddenly the system crashes more than ever?
Why?? So anyway the Jongo will automatically update itself if plugged in and conneted to wifi which again I find any vendor frustrating as I don't update firmware/app unless it isn't working. Suddenly The sensia won't connet to the speaker under any circumstances. I am very It/tech literate and went through every possible combination of reset and firware update via network and usb incase there were any issues there. Finally I gave in and rang Pure who were blissfully unaware of any issues and led me throught the very same procedures in the books and on the internet to no avail finally stating it must be a hardware issue. Ha I had thought of that and asked if they had one set up inthe office which they did. Off they went and tried and joy of joys after their firmware update theres stopped working also much to my smug satisfaction. I was promised engineers would be staright on the case as they were not aware of this issue due to I quote "there are not many people with both products yet" not a good selling point to admit. I did ask for a call back when this was done as Pure are notorious for taking a while to fix their self created blunders. After one week and several phone calls I decided to take the Jongo back to PC World as they have a strict 21 day returns policy and I was not going to have a £170 piece of plastic sitting around while pure twiddled their thumbs. As yet I do not know if the firmware issue is resolved and have not seen any updates to the firmware on the site so I'm not wasting my time purchasing another until I see way more reviews informing me otherwise. I would have given this 5 stars based on the day i had it due to the way it all set up, looked and worked. However all this is by the by if it doesn't do the one thing you buy it for!!
Pure wake up and start product testing throughly or give more out for testing by the people that will use them in day to day situations like ourselves.
Only downside is volume control is limited and dosent appear to go up or down with 1 quick press of button. You have too hold button down to increase/decrease volume.
