Thank you for the advanced copy you gave me. I Took it on holiday and got up before the family each day, and had a fantastic couple of hours quiet reading time. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK!! I feel that there’s also loads anyone can apply to other aspects of life. Such as your attitude and positivity, decision making, thinking more broadly about things. I’m sure that anyone who reads this book will benefit, not only those in business. I think your book could transform the lives of many people, and as such a successful businessman, your are very generous to have shared your business secrets as I’m sure that a lot of people will find this is an invaluable business tool.
On a personal note, It was really interesting reading all about your career, what an amazing one you’ve had. I hope your book achieves the success it deserves, I’m convinced that it will. Your family will all be very proud of you. Well done Jeremy, a fantastic read.
What is your real purpose in considering this book?
If it's because you like the cover and it reminds you of your teens, but you're not really up for a challenge any more, then move on. However, if it is for inspiration to start (or restart) achieving exta-ordinary things in your career/business and to find practical advice on behaviours that really 'move the needle', it's a 'Buy Now'.
The author draws from his stellar marketing career inside some of today's biggest global brands, telling stories that vividly demonstrate how bringing the 'punk' attitude of zero-tolerance for mediocrity can translate into redefining what is actually possible.
As someone who spent two decades working in a very different, but definitely very 'punk' industry (motorsport engineering) until 2010, this book has reminded me of just what CAN and IS achieved by those individuals and organisations who dare to put themselves 'out there' - challenging the status quo - and build a movement of people with a common cause.
For me, a really timely read, thanks Jeremy. It's up to me now!
I found this book a very interesting read and a very unique concept. Taking a little over a week to read, the eight elements (or chapters) are easily digestible chunks that lend themselves well to reading on the morning commute.
I was impressed with how well the Punk Rock analogy translated to the world of business and often found myself thinking about certain chapters when approaching a problem at work! This, mixed with the personable, valuable, and well-told anecdotes, made this a very enjoyable read.
A very well thought out and valuable book for anyone looking to push themselves further in their career or looking to approach their professional life from a fresh perspective. I look forward to future publications from this first-time author!
