Reason for buying:
I decided to buy this product because I wanted a healthy form of a plant protein powder that had no dairy or toxins in it (artificial chemicals, colourings, preservatives & additives etc).

Mixing / Taste:
When I filled up 1/3 of the pint glass with water and added 30g of protein to it (2 tablespoons) I mixed it slowly with a large spoon and found that it mixed quite well. It had a very unique taste in that it tasted like cold creamy pea soup. It actually tasted much nicer than I expected = 9.5/10 for taste.

Health benefits:
After taking the product once a day until the bag finished I felt a lot healthier, I lost weight and found that my stomach bloating problem had improved. Strangely enough though after drinking it I felt that I had eaten something that my body really wanted and hadn't had before.

Value / Comparison vs other Pea products:
At £13.45/Kg with free postage, this product offers very good value for money considering it's healthy ingredients and health benefits.

There are also a number of other Pea protein powders available on Amazon which I have tried, however in my experience they are either made of less desirable ingredients such as "Bulk Powders 1kg Pea Protein" for £7.20/Kg or they are far too expensive such as the "Sunwarrior Blend Raw Plant-Based Complete Protein Vanilla Powder 1Kg" for £31.98/Kg (although the Sunwarrior brand is the highest quality that money can buy and is likely to be far more beneficial health-wise, however it falls outside most peoples budgets (such as myself).

Negatives:
The only downside with this product is that it is not a complete protein source (does not contain the correct amino acid profile in the correct proportions).

I'm almost through the first kilo bag already and I've found a very enjoyable way to consume it: mix two desert spoons of pulsing with half a regular bowl of muesli, add about 1/4 pint of almond milk, one sliced banana, and a handful of blueberries and use a hand blender and hey presto... delicious protein-rich breakfast smoothie.

I used this for quite a while and really liked the taste - savoury yet sweet. It actually tasted "wholesome" (unusual for a protein powder) and it was very good value. Then the product was changed (autumn 2013) and tasted awful - processed and cardboard-like. The only plus was that it mixed more easily with fewer lumps. Pulsin' had switched suppliers. It was still 100% pure non-GM pea protein, extracted without chemicals and free from additives. But the horrible taste made me switch to other brands (best of which was the Nutrisport vegan unflavoured but that one now also contains soya).
UPDATE (July 2014) Pulsin' got their original supplier back. Tastes a lot better, though the old problem with lumps has returned! Blend-ability best using cold liquids. UPDATE (May 2015) Taste and quality have remained consistent so I guess they're sticking with the same suppliers! Still the best on the market for my money.

I've used this protein product in the past and liked it but unfortunately I feel I need to give it a one star rating. When I contacted the company to ask to see the certificate of analysis so I could check what the heavy metal levels were I was told that it was confidential but they complied with European regulations. I then asked for them to just supply me with the heavy metal levels. I received no response. I've read a few articles recently about the high level of heavy metals in some nutritional products, particular protein products, hence why I asked the question. Toxic heavy metals aren't good for the body. The lack of transparency may not necessarily be a bad sign but it is a bit of a red flag.

Great product, good value. Tried other (natural) protein shakes but think this is the best one. Mixes easily, has no taste (which I like) and you get about 17g of protein from one serving. Easily digested and about 2g of carbs. If, like me, you have candida (yeast infection) and are a veggie, you will love this product to get your daily protein intake.

I'm happy with my purchase although as with previous reviews the flavour is strongly present. I've not used protein powder before and I didn't really want whey - besides this is loads cheaper! It works well in omelettes (haven't tried in other savoury cooking but soups maybe too or bread if you're that way inclined?) but I wanted to increase the protein content in my breakfast rather than main meals. As I found the flavour too strong mixed with my usual yogurt I trialled with just some mushed banana and I find this works great! Sure you could blend it into a smoothie and whatnot but I don't have such facilities at my place of work so the banana trick works brilliantly for me. Cheers guys!

This is disgusting to drink as a protein shake. It makes me gag. It is thick and tastes revolting. I add it to some vegetable soups to increase protein content and the taste is disguised. Not suitable for post workout protein shake, unless you like a thick sludgey rank vegetable tasting drink post workout

One bag goes a long way. I use it in smoothies, soups, stews, curry - basically anything you want to add some extra protein to as it's unflavoured and doesn't alter the colour. Safe for vegans. 100% recommend.
