I have cooked from this book since the minute I got it. Prue's recipes are easy to follow, modern not fuddy duddy, clear, and delicious on the plate. There's everything from take-your-time classic stuff, to wonderfully creative game recipies, to what she calls 'quickies', which are perfect for tired people coming in from work and doing in 10 minutes. She has a comprehensive list of store cupboard neccessities, as well as some really helpful 'tips and cheats', which most cooks wouldn't dream of admitting to, but which really work. Trust me! If Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Clarissa Dickson Wright think this woman is a genius, then who I am to disagree. Buy it now--you won't be disappointed.
