A doubt always exists as to whether the advertised item will fulfill the glowing description given by the seller.....it doesn't fall short in any way, buy with absolute confidence.
I have noted the comment of another reviewer that the cut-out inside the front cover (shows the name `Proporta' etched into the aluminium) is likely to cause problems. Personally I would have said the covers padding was enough to prevent that but we will see.
UPDATE : 1/2/2011
Couple of points : 1, no sign yet of the cut-out causing any damage to the screen. As I'm using a screen protector I'm sure if there was any contact a mark would be left in the soft plastic, so far no mark. 2, still not totally convinced by the clips; on several occasions I have managed to inadvertently push the phone half out of the case, I really do think, good case that this is, that it could do with a least one more clip (possibly 3 more) to hold the phone in place.
Improves reception and robust design , worth waiting for...
Sure it'll stop you bumping your precious screen, but it'll mark it instead.
I pre-ordered this case and also bought a full Invisible Shield, it's a good job I did. The case has a very good cover which folds over to protect the screen. The only problem is, and its only for the sake of advertising and to prove that the cover is aluminium, that there is a cut-out on the inside of the case.
It is this cut-out which is the problem. The edges of the cut-out are very hard and when the case is closed, rub against 'the precious screen'
There is simply no need for this cut-out, there is no function, other than to mark your screen!
The Invisible Shield does have a healing effect, which is just as well, but even this is marked. Goodness knows what the marks would've been like.
I can't really recommend this case, unless they get rid of the pointless advertising cut-out.
Better to get a Krusell I think.
Well done Proporta, keep up the good work.
This case is more expensive but it is of a higher quality. Have been using it for a month or so now and have no complaints at all. Does what it says and looks suitably stylish without being flashy.
To the reviewer who claimed this item scratched the screen, the only way this would be possible would be if you applied considerable force to the top cover, enough to bend the aluminium lining and cause the case to touch the screen. In normal operation the case is held 2-3mm from the screen and there's no possibility that it could contact it
If I truly had to pick bones I'd say the magnetic clasp could be a bit less bulky, the retaining clip at the bottom is a little plasticky, and the USB port is covered when the clasp is closed, but that's really being anal about it.
