There's only so much I can say without giving a catastrophic degree of spoilers, but as someone who has been following the series from day one, this is the series at its absolute peak.
The kids have been planning their escape from the beginning, but after what seems to be a crushing and absolute defeat by Mom at the end of the previous volume, all seems lost.
With the situation seeming hopeless, one of the kids decides to push ahead with a shocking all-or-nothing last-ditch plan that I can only describe as one of the biggest "Oh s**t" moments I've ever had.
The arc doesn't quite wrap up by the end of the volume, but I'm not saying anything in regards to how smoothly it goes. For anyone who's been following the series so far this is an absolute must, and for those who are yet to start, it's an absolute must once you read the first three volumes.
