5.0 out of 5 stars Nicely Explained 8 Oct. 2005
By H J - Published on
Format: Paperback
This is a quick and easy to understand book for learning C++. And not too expensive either. It will give you the basic idea about C++. After that you will have to use other books for more advanced tools like templates.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read and understand 27 Jun. 2013
By William M. Wilkie - Published on
Format: Paperback
Just a few pages to demonstrate each part of the languge and very easy to understand.

The only thing missing would be a FULL code listing at the end of each sample. That would make it perfect. Most of it was fine, but somehow when I used the object structure I created for one sample and had to change it in the section "Creating Multiple Objects" it didn't compile. I know I have something in the wrong place but can't figure out what.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good reference 8 July 2009

I like this book and use it. C for dummies is too full of words having nothing to do with c while many other books are too full of words having so much to do with c that you can not find anything. This is the ABCs of c. It does not include algorithms or cover the peculiarities of special function registers in micro-controllers but if you haven't used "case" in awhile or forgotten the symbol for nor it is a great reference. I've recommended it to colleagues and have received good feedback.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book for Beginners and people who want to learn the syntax 25 Aug. 2008
By Michael Palmer - Published on
Format: Paperback
I bought this book a few years ago. It has been great. Very helpful in learning the syntax of C. Maybe not so helpful if you are totally new to programming. It doesn't provide challenging concepts.

If you need a quick way to learn C, this book is the best way to go. I help teach kids Robotics and we program in C. This book is by far the most useful for them in learning C.
4.0 out of 5 stars A great and easy way to start to learn C 4 April 2006
By Joseph P. Bowling - Published on
Format: Paperback
I found the book to be written very clear and easy to understand and covering the basics of C. With many screenshots and code that had differt colorings made following the examples alot easier to follow. If your starting off in C programming and not looking for something intimidating then this is a good book to start with.
