A truely fantastic album that is a logical progression from the first, this world and body. The songs aren't as catchy as that of the first however this is more than made up for in the new found maturity and the production, which is by none other than Johnny Marr himself, is second to none. The Smile (track 1) brings us back into the days when indie bands ruled the airwaves back in Britain with an epic guitar riff. Miyako Hideaway is a funky number that can't help but get your feet tapping. Sparkle is a truely beautiful song that starts of with an acoustic guitar and beautiful vocals by Jaime Harding. Comeback is a sad farwell for Marion fans everywhere yet rumours are rife that Jaime Harding has recorded a new album and is continuing performing under the name Marion. If it's anywhere near as good as this, it should be number one. The programe is a must buy album.

Wonderful album and glad it's finally available on download as my Minidisk version was starting to skip. Many reviews point out that this is not as good as their first album. I disagree, to me this is streets better from the rousing start to the emotional end.

Try it... you might like it as much as I do.

Although not as immediate as Marion's first album (this World and Body) this is very much business as usual for the band. Although the tunes come across as slightly less catchy the feel of this second album is similar to the first. The same inflences still abound, early Echo and the Bunnymen and Joy Division again spring to mind. Producer Johnny Marr seems to have had little impact on the bands sound with the music showing little relation to Electronic or the Smiths in feel. If you liked Marion's first album then definitely give this second outing a go, just don't expect any great singles like "Sleep". Whatever happened to them..........?

i was very disappointed to receive a short sampler of the album, rather than the full thing.
I wouldn't have bought it had I known...
