Sadly I can find no trace of "Classic ASP" or of "ADODB" Bought the book as a work of reference and particularly on these two points. Have got Classi ASP serving pages already - now struggling to access MS Access databases

5.0 out of 5 stars A scarce resource! Much better editing than the IIS 7 edition! 19 Mar. 2013
By Kurt Rayner - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is information that is hard to find. There are only two books available for IIS 7 development that I would even look at. The prior edition of this book is one of them, but the editing and code examples made it clear that the book was a piece-meal effort.

The IIS 8 edition is far more cohesive, well written and absolutely up to date!

If you are administering IIS, this will be helpful. If you are extending IIS manager or the schemas of IIS configuration, this book is indispensible.
1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this. You're being cheated. 18 Oct. 2016
By James B. Bendtsen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book is the very cheap version printed in India and intended only for sale there. The paper is very thin and the printing of the words and images is blurred and fuzzy. Numerous pages have grey blotches on them. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, and in fact, I've ordered the US version, intended for sale in the US.
5.0 out of 5 stars The bible on IIS 1 May 2016
By Jeremy Morgan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This is an amazingly detailed and clear book on the ins and outs of IIS. I've been administering IIS for years and still found a lot of useful information and things I didn't know.

This book will get you from beginner to confident admin in no time. I don't know of a better book on IIS that I've found.

Read and browse the book carefully and you will have a step-by-step guide on what you can do to improve the site performance without to dig into the code.
3.0 out of 5 stars Where are the page numbers? 16 Jan. 2017

There are no page numbers in the digital version. I am a student and our professor wanted us to read to page 38.
