When his usual Friday night 'hire' is no longer available he's sceptical about the replacement, Dash. But Dash is actually everything Thorne has been looking for.
Dash is working to save money to attend school, but his new client, Thorne, won't be a hardship. In fact Dash very much enjoys his first session with Thorne.
What begins as a business arrangement we have seen many times before in books could easily have become cliche but this isn't instantaneous. It's a steady build, a subtle nudge towards HEA.
Thorne is brilliant portrayed as the workaholic who's forgotten what fun is.
Dash is a hopeful young man who brings out the best in others.
Together they make quite a combination
Where do I start...... Silvia Violet has absolutely excelled herself with this one I've read her" Unexpected" series which was very good but this omg!!!!
Thorne is an uptight ass and liked things his own way he tried a relationship once but when it ended in heartache he found it easier to pay for sex and not get involved that is until he meets Dash a hot blooded cheeky escort half his age. Their attraction to each other is fireworks from the beginning, with neither of them letting onto the other how hot their feelings go; and the sex, OMG, is hot or what and the love story between them continues to grow throughout.
This is definitely my kind of M/M story!
1....A story ( not just sex)
3......Hot steamy sex
4.....An ending that is happyish that wants you needing more!!! And guess what, there is a book 2&3 yayyyyyy roll on 2016!!!
Thorne's heart got broken so long ago, and he chooses to pay for his pleasure now. When Riley Dashwood turns up instead of his usual escort, Thorne knows Dash will be trouble. Dash affects in a way no other ever did. But will Dash feel the same?
Not a particularly original plotline of an older man falling for a much younger paid escort, and vice versa.
BUT I don't care about that because I rather enjoyed this!
One of those books you can see it all coming at ya, and you can see it coming like a train wreck about to happen. And there ain't a damn thing you can do to stop it.
Because you can see it coming, its not a surprise when Thorne falls for Dash, or when Dash loses his heart to Thorne, breaking the cardinal rule of escorting. Its no surprise the Thorne decides the only way to keep Dash is to pay for him, full time. Its no surprise hoe Dash reacts to that.
What is a surprise, to me anyway, is how Thorne redeems himself. A film is referenced in the book, and Thorne takes a scene out that film to try to win Dash back. I've not heard of the film, so I've no idea if its a real film or not, I don't much care either way. But well saved Thorne, very well saved.
I also liked the difference made to Dash and Riley. He was Dash when he was working, and Riley when not. I loved that Thorne struggled to make the difference towards the end.
Its told from both men's POV, in the third person, so pushed all my buttons.
Its billed as book 1 for Throne and Dash. I should love to catch up with them at a later date in their journey. Because you just know, that its not going to be any some of picnic.
solid 4 star read.
**same worded review will appear on Goodreads, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble**
They each fall for the other but both are very afraid to admit it. So miscommunication, misunderstandings leaves them both with questions to answer.
Already looking forward to reading Part 2
