Format: Hardcover
This is a fantastically clear and well laid out book ... ideal for the first year medic. However it has it limitations and does not have enough detail to rely on for everything (sadly). Use this book as a starting point for further study using books like Ganong or Peacock and Richards but it is well worth buying. To some medics Tortora is the bible. And the bible is a worthy title of it ..... although even the bible needs so further explanation in places!!!!

I use this in every area of my course from anatomy o basic biology. It has the work at my level (A level), but also explains at the degree and Masters level, so will be good on future courses. Well worth the money.
this book has become my course bible, would not be passing without it.
