Brilliant book.
I bought this book after reading a review in a national newspaper.
I'd already begun potty training with my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she was happy with wee-wee's in her potty.
However she's been refusing to poo and going through a cycle of refusal and constipation. Not an easy time as some of you may know.
The day we got this book we read it together and my daughter loved it. She loved the 'hooray' noise button and the interaction of the book. We read itu together 4 times.
Later that day I went upstairs to hang some washing and she shouted poo poo!! She'd gone to the potty and done a poo with no fuss at all.
Amazing.
Although this could be coincidental. I believe the book helped enormously by normalising the process and making her feel more comfortable doing a 2 on the potty.

I was desperate, my little daughter would not seat on the potty. After reading this book to her she decided that she wanted to seat and actually wait for something to come out. She loves the hooraay sound! Personally I think that it is good that Princess Polly actually seats on the potty and manages to do a wee and a pooh in the potty. There are other books where the main character (Dora or Elmo) never seats on the potty and they never actually DO anything. In this book little ones can see the wee and the pooh inside the potty which I think makes them understand the idea.

What a great book - My two and a half year old daughter went back to wetting pants again so I bought this book and it has worked a treat. Enjoyable to read, interesting and of course the cheers that you hear when pressing the button just make this book so much better than just reading text. I even grabbed the book and pressed the button when she used the potty and she was so proud that princess polly was cheering!! The book also covers that the baby in the family is the only one wearing nappies at the moment, this too has really helped because my daughter wanted to be like our 6 month old baby and wear nappies. Highly recommend this book.

I bought this book online after reading some of the other reviews and it definitely didn't disappoint. My daughter is 28 months and was a little apprehensive about the whole potty thing but once we got this book, that all changed. She loved the story and getting to press the "HOORAY" button on every page. We took it into the bathroom every time she needed to go so she could press the Cheer for her own Wees!! Great how they pick out the "big Girl" pants and potty as well. Would highly recommend this book and only wish I'd bought it before even mentioning the potty word. Well worth the money.

Bought this to help with potty training. We did use it for the first couple of days but the novelty soon wore off. Sweets still won the day for the best incentive!
I have to say the picture of the poo is quite funny though and made my daughter laugh. She also liked picking pants and potties for the whole family!

This is a lovely story book but was no help at getting my daughter to use the potty unfortunately. I think I just need a miracle! However she does enjoy reading this book and pressing the button. In the story the princess puts the potty on her head. I hope this is not copied in real life!

My little girl loves this book, I like that u actually see the wee wee and poo which is good for young children to see in the potty. Nice book but a little bit lengthy for the younger child I think as she is just interested in pressing the button rather than listening to the story! She is only 23months though, but still a good book. Nice pictures and explains all necessary parts of potty training, e.g wiping, washing hands etc

The book is good in the fact that it will keep your little one entertained with the pushing of the button. But as an effective toilet training book I think there are other books which are far better. I bought this for my 2 year old, who just thought it was another story book and didn't relate to it in terms of toilet training. It might be more effective for an older child toilet training, who is able to follow stories from start to finish.
