I loved this book. The characters Tommy, Angel and Jessi are certainly worth reading about. This is a good storyline that it had me gripped. The author did a great job of portraying how hard it is to 'come out'. I really wanted to bang heads together sometimes.
The sex scenes were written well. All in all a great read for the broad-minded people:)
I'm so looking forward to reading book two:)
This book is so beautifully written, so seamlessly tripping from one of the three leads to another, that I was soon totally enthralled by the events unfolding. I was strongly a Jessi supporter all the way through, and felt that this book delved into a lot of issues that I have considered when reading other such books, but that have not been addressed. The fact that we are dealing with three really sexual, swoon-worthy individuals who are explosive when together, makes for some moments where an ice bath would be the only cure.
One word ... FABULOUS!
Tommy and Jessi are a loving married couple, but Jessi is an extraordinary wife in that she agrees to her husband fulfilling his attraction to men. So once a month they have a threesome with a random guy pick up (or bringing home the candy as Tommy calls it) to give Tommy what he needs. That is until they meet Angel.
Angel is the singer with Immortal Angel and when searching for a new lead guitarist he is drawn to the amazing skills of Tommy Blade (love that name!) but then when he sees him, he is instantly attracted and in so deep there is no escaping the fact this was meant to be. Angel is comfortable in his extremely sexy skin, he’s gay and has no hesitancy in being who he is. I loved him – especially when he was speaking in Spanish. Guapo!
Tommy on the other hand doesn’t like labels, he doesn’t see himself as bi-sexual let alone gay but he knows this ‘thing’ between him and Angel is special and is something neither of them can control. But he is adamant that his love for his wife is pure and true and will remain whatever happens.
Jessie was a bit of an enigma for me. She was so totally up for her husband to be with men, even watching and joining in. I couldn’t get my head around her not being a jealous wailing banshee with her husband having sexy time with another, let alone it being a man. There was no interaction with her and the men that was purely for Tommy.Read more ›
Jessi and Tommy have an unusual marriage in that Tommy is bisexual (although he wont come out and say it!) and Jessi will do anything to keep her husband happy, including bringing other men to their bed. BUT these are one time onlys, until that is, they meet Angel.
Tommy is a rock guitarist, and Angel's band needs a guitarist. Angel WANTS Tommy, in more ways that one.
There follows a love story, a band's success story, and a story of unrequited love, gone bad.
this differs somewhat from the usual M/M/F books I've read, because Jessi goes into this fully aware of what is going on. She just has no idea how much it will effect her, her relationship with Tommy and how much it will make her want Angel too, but he ain't swinging that way!
what I particularly liked about this book, was the build up. it was well over a third of the way through before Tommy and Angel finally got their act together, after some prompting from Jessi, and from that point, it was go, go GO! I loved the build up, the way the characters, all three of them, struggled to deal with the attraction between Tommy and Angel. I loved that we heard from all three of them too, so glad about that! I loved how the other band members picked it up, early on, and were non-judgemental. the scenes between all three of them were well written, and their emotions come off the page. made me cry in some places. the dynamics of their relationship evolved through the book, with the usual up's and down's any relationship faces, let alone one played out in the public eye, and there is always one who wont let you be happy.Read more ›
