- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2014Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis was my first experience of the Chess Team and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline was original and the characters were well described. I would recommend.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 October 2013Format: PaperbackVerified PurchasePrime shows us how the Chess Team came together and a little more of the characters of those involved.
We first see Jack Sigler as part of a Delta team on a mission that ends badly and as he considers his career he is given a new mission to find what went wrong. To fulfil this new mission he must form a new team, a team that later becomes Chess Team. Throughout the book he struggles with the decision to put him in command, with the hierarchy's confidence in him whilst his flags at certain moments but we also see the potential that those who had the confidence in him also saw. The potential that we see in later books come to fruition.
I've tried desperately hard not to give any spoilers so I'll end with saying simply that if you are a fan of the Chess Team, this book will not disappoint.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2014Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseWell what a Rock and Roll ride this is.
Jeremy up to his usual big ideas and I loved it....
For me the only slight niggle and I am talking miniscule here - is that when the Guys get their new handles I was getting a wee bit mixed up on who was who - King and Queen were fine but the rest - I had to keep on going back to see who was who...
These men are the energizer bunnies and I love the way that real life is mixed in with big weapons etc.
Although this is no 5 it is actually the prequel to all the other "Chess Team" books - so this was where I started.
I am off to read the 1st book in the series now....
Great work Jeremy and glad to be back in your world.... wish I had not had the break - but that does mean that I have loads to catch up on......
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 February 2014Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThoroughly enjoyed this the origins of the Chess Team!!!!
Once again lots of action mixed with historical legends and how it all began with Richard Ridley of manifold genetics
So enjoy these series of adventures and the characters
Looking forward to Omega and the way story continues
Keep it up

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 November 2024Format: Kindle EditionIt's almost worth 4* but just a few irritating flaws pulled it down at the end.
A promising beginning and I will read the next one in the series
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 October 2018Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseGreat book. A military thriller with a Jeremy Robinson twist. If you like James Rollins,(as i do), you will enjoy Jeremy robinson. I am yet to read a Robinson book i could put down.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 June 2014Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchaseThis was my first book from Jeremy Robinson. Fast paced and with good characters, I was gripped from the start. I will definitely be following the exploits of Jack Sigler in the future.

Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThe chess team origins finally discovered and well worth it.
Amazon CustomerReviewed in the United States on 8 June 20255.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute Thrill Ride!!!
Format: Kindle EditionVerified PurchasePrime is the perfect prequel to the Chess team series. I know it’s listed as book 1 but I like to treat it as Jeremy Robinson first wrote it, which is more of Chess team book 0. It takes us back to before the Chess team was formed and lets us see what lead to this group of people coming together and forming the ultimate world saving team. Prime is just like everything I’ve come to expect from a Robinson novel, it’s full of action, amazing locals and lots and lots of thrills. It had my heart racing and I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend this book to all action/adventure/thrill lovers.
