So onto Pretty Remedy, I knew it was going to be another quality read because the first book in this series was outstanding and I'm glad that I was able to read one after the other, no waiting around for me and that made it even better because sometimes you forget the story line of the last book and end up going back for a catch up.
There is something so different the way S.E. Hall tells her stories, especially this series but it's hard to say what it is exactly, it's just there and very obvious.
Again we were drawn in by this story, Reece who appeared to be quite shy and unassuming at first caught Rhett's eye straight away so that was enough to send alarm bells ringing because we knew all about Rhett's and his mood swings and the way he lived his life.
It didn't take long before we started to witness the chemistry between Reece and Rhett but Reece wasn't going to give into him so soon she wasn't one if those girls and Rhett soon realised and so their story began but who'd have thought that the record company that had bought Rhett's songs was the very same one that Reece owned, honestly we had know idea, didn't see that coming, S.E. Hall gave nothing away even when she went back to L.A the first time we had know clue we certainly weren't aware that she could sing and play several instruments.
Pretty Remedy like the first book is written extremely well, it's so interesting not just simple it really gets your imagination working and again you find yourself absorbing every detail and the scene where Reece was story telling and through that revealed who she was and Rhett putting two and two together and realising that she was In fact the owner of the said record company, I thought that was so clever and so different but that is what this author does and what she's all about.. Brilliant.
All the characters played a brilliant roll, loved Ozzie, there's always one you really warm to, Conner being the one in Pretty Instinct.
It was a real treat watching Rhett change his ways and fall for Reece, I feel a little sad for Jarrett he just can't seem to find the right one and we are obviously going to be kept waiting until we get his story but I am looking forward to reading Thatchers King's story will Sommerlyn be a constant feature in that, regardless I think she might be trouble, we've had a taste of her already..!!
Thank you for bringing us another brilliant series.!
I loved him in Pretty Instinct and basically loved that whole book but to find out he was coming to my kindle just made me giddy happy
Rhett though is a bit of a moody guy, he loves the ladies and makes no promises to women that he will change, he loves his music and his writing but his mood swings would make me even think I was watching a tennis match. He is also extremely loyal, loving, friendly and very protective over the people whom he call family and who her cherishes.
Rhett however, did not count on meeting someone as sassy as Reece Kelly. I fell in love with her smart mouth and sassy ways and how she just answered Rhett back. She is downright hysterical at times with what comes out of her mouth.
Reece a tiny girl at just 5ft but she has the whole package, she is amazingly clever, but also very self-conscious of what others think, mainly her father, and she strives for approval, again mainly from her father. She is extremely loyal and loves her friend Landry like a sister and would do anything for her, which is why you can tell just by reading this book; she is the kind of friend everyone would want.
I loved how not only did we have Rhett but we also met up with Jarrett, whom is adorable. Woman don’t stand a chance with these boys, let’s face it they were just made for women LOL.
Rhett and Reece meet up due to Reece’s friend Landry, the way they meet is interesting and you have to read the book to find out. If I put it in here, then that would spoil it for you all. It is obvious they are instantly attracted to each other, but they live in two different states. There is just something about Reece that draw’s him and makes him feel he can trust her, share with her and be around her not like he has with any other woman. He feels that she truly understands him which has not happened since Liz.
I loved how SE Hall gave these two the chemistry and it was so hot it was scorching, but she also made them friends first. They had this mutual connection that they could build on first. It was lovely to see how past conversations from Rhett’s grandfather came into the book, giving him guidance and steering him in the right direction.
“Two things, boy, that’ll tell ya all you need to know. First one is, make sure your door is locked when you get her settled in the car. If she reaches over and unlocks it for you on her own, she cares- thoughtful and giving by nature. That’s the girl you hold hands with, work for that first kiss, then keep working until she thinks you’re worthy of her forever. And when you finally convince her, use every d**n day to make sure she never changes her mind”
Rhett and Reece both have hang ups, secrets, and insecurities, how they get past them and deal with them is just amazing to read and is written so well you can tell how determined they are and how much they mean to each other. They knew together they could deal with them and learn to trust and love each other.
What captured me the most of this book was that you can read it as a standalone, however, when the characters from Pretty Instinct came into this book, it made it all that more special to me.
This is an amazing story, of amazing people who deal with day to day insecurities, hang ups, issues that someone will be able to relate to.
This is the second book in SE Hall's Finally Found series and can be read as a standalone however, I would definitely read Pretty Instinct first!
I really enjoyed reading Rhett's story. It was nice to be able to get into his psyche and while I wasn't really a huge fan of his in book one, I certainly am now. He's a rocker, he's sexy - and yes, he knows it - and he's a bit of (my favorite!) a dirty talker. So who will reform him? Sweet, sassy Reece who I really loved! She's young and determined and I LOVED that she didn't just fall at Rhett's feet like every other female in his path. One thing I really love about SE Hall's characters is that the main female character is always strong, resourceful and self-sufficient and Reece certainly fit that bill.
There was a great amount of humor and sexiness in this book as well as some thought-provoking moments. Pretty Remedy is written in dual POV and if you want to find out what happens when you get a little R & R, read the book! I can't wait for the next book in the series - hoping for Jarrett!

Pretty Remedy was a great read. It isn't as funny as Book 1 but is great in its own right. Reese is shy and inexperienced but determined. She has a path she has set her mind to and nothing is going to deter her from reach her goal. Don't get me wrong, Reese has her comedic moments as well.
Rhett is a gorgeous sexy man. He is trying to find what is missing in his life and it isn't the long string of woman he is sleeping with..once.
I am a fan of SE Hall and would highly recommend this book. If you haven't read Pretty Instinct it is most definitely a must.
