Format: Paperback
As a PGCE student yet to start her course to teach biology at secondary level, I found this book highlighting many key issues that I had not even thought of. It is full of useful advice to trainee teachers or yet to be trainee teachers, like myself, as to what they can expect when undertaking their PGCE. There are lots of quotes from previous students, mentors and university tutors, which really bring home the messages that they are trying to get across. A brilliant, thought provoking read before starting the PGCE and also a useful book to refer back to in times of crisis after commencing the PGCE.

Format: Paperback
This was one of the books that we were recommended to read prior to starting the PGCE course in September, plus it is co-written/editted by one of my lecturers-to-be. I would really recommend this book for all future PGCE students - it is very easy to read as well as providing useful information and tips ready for starting the course and school placements. Thoroughly recommended.
