Product description

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club which had featured prominently in Scottish and European football in the 1960s was lanquishing in the Second Division. Under the inspired guidance of manager Jim Leishman they completed an amazing double by going from the Second Division to the Premier League in successive seasons to become Fife's first representative in the Premier League in 1987. Such an achievement is well worth recording and John Hunter in this history of the two remarkable seasons has done just that by recording in detail all the games which brought Dunfermline from the obscurity of the Second Division to the top division in Scotland in two short years. A permanent record of a great team.
