Format: Paperback
A little dry in tone - think academic lecture rather than populist television programme - but extraordinarily comprehensive, including information that is rarely available in on-line searches. A must-have for anyone with an interest in the prehistoric sites of Dorset.

John Gale has written a book that wonderfully describes the wealth of prehistoric sites in Dorset.
The author is a real enthusiast (and as a previous reviewer said a highly respected authority)for his subject and this comes over in every page.
It made me want to get out and explore the sites myself.
This book takes you on a fascinating journey of discovery, buy it today, you will love it!

Format: Paperback
Prehistoric Dorset captures all the excitement and fun that can be found right under your feet when walking around the Dorset area. Even if you are not a 'practising Archaeologist', this book gives you all the information on the local stone circles and Neolithic sites, that even the most amateur 'digger' will need on their journey around the beautiful county of Dorset. John Gale is a very well respected member of the archaelogical community, and his style of writing, and great use of photography only goes to enhance his stature as one of the leading lights in this area of research. A FANTASTIC READ.
